    what a cute little oscar.
  3. awww, look at little Apple! What little cutie. Munchy and Mig are both gorgeous too!!
  4. Awwww.... :hap: What little cutie pies!! i do love those spangles. They are just simply gorgeous!!
  5. Sorry Lovey, I think I'll have to disagree with the dominant part after reading the fact that she's had it for at least 8 months and it still doesn't have the iris ring to me means that it is a recessive. In the first instant that I saw both of them, I had thought that they are both recessive. Oh Joanne, apparently in some recessive pied, they keep the barring on the head?!?! Not 100% sure on that. When I visited bugiebird, I noticed on one of her daddy budgie (Romeo) had barring on his heads, and he's way way pass the stage of first molt!!

wow, they look like they're really enjoying themselves on the tree!! Good work. :budgiedance:
  7. Oh hehe.. I get those temporary 'yellowface' a lot too with my lot!! (Laughing out loud)
  8. here's my opinion... Sky blue Recessive pied greywings opaline spangle...... sheesh, that's a really really long one there...(Laughing out loud) Edit... oh just have a second look at the pics... do I see yellow in the last picture on the head? or is that just stain?!?!?! if it's yellow, you can add Yellowface one to that name above!! (Laughing out loud) Oh and she's a very pretty one.
  9. Yep, agree. first one is an opaline, the second is a spangle. Not sure about the blue part. I'd say both Cobalt from the pics, but it could be different in real time. Cheers
  10. Awww they are gorgeous!!! Love their brilliant yellow colour!!
  11. That my dear Shawna, in my (not so knowledgable) mind is a recessive pied spangle!!! Although it looks like some used a very blunt or fat pencil to trace her feathers!! Soooo thick the black marking on the tip of the feather!! Then again, looking at the second picture a little bit closer it looks like it's a greywing of some sort... hmmmmmm Any chance of a photo of a full back with both wings showing so I can see better please??
  12. Pretty birdy! Love the colour. Can't wait to see more picture of this little one> :bluebudgie:

  18. yep, I'm a big fan of the invermectin spot on treatment as well. I used to to treat the birds when I first noticed the little tunnel the mite makes, and you can see it pretty soon ( a day or two) that it's working as the tunnels stopped 'growing'... It works the same as the flea treatment where the chemicals for the treatment is absorbed into the bloodstream when it's on the skin. It'll last for at least six weeks. If you're still not happy with the results , you can always repeat it. I've had a repeat bout of scaley, but that's because I didn't give them enough of the treatment as that budgie is a tad bigger than you average budgies.. actually almost twice the size, but just under, so I should have had two drops. But anyway, it's working and I don't have to worry about scaley face with this treatment.

Aww sounds like they are getting on just like house on fire!! That Merlin do not only look like my Goofy, but he acts like him too!! I mean the part where he tries to take over everything.. Goofy has taken over the cage.. what he wants, he gets... Lemon and Hope back off of him... hehehe.. I'm sure Merlin will be a lot more civilise to Pretty than Goofy is to his cage mates!! (Laughing out loud)
  20. Ummm just keep in mind not to use scented baby oil.

my little Lemon just absolutely love 'plucking' the bar on the side of the cage. she does it I t hink is because she likes the sounds it's making... it's quite cute to watch her entertain herself like that. Although i have to say that she doesn't have a 'favourite' corner. she just does in particular area of the cage that makes the most noise!!!

I would go one step further and say that instead of putting the male into the female cage, do the opposite... put the female into the male cage that way the female won't feel territorial about her cage and might accept the male that way. good luck.
  23. (Laughing out loud)... wow... that means lots of babies on the way!! Yippeeeee!!
  24. Oh my, look at them go!! They are loving it!!
