l usually cook them, then l mash them. l also grate some carrots and add some peas and corn, then l add a little bit of crushed egg shells or l add some egg biscuit mix.

you could try soaking wet lettuce leafs(not iceberg) and hang them, he might like rubbing the leaves and he would get wet doing that or you could place some lettuce in their bath dish/bowl with some water.
