'Fraid not Kaz, I'm not allowed to taked holidays in December where I work and she's due early January. There's no way I'm going anywhere!!

Thanks Trish, it will be a fantastic Chrissy present! My partner's not very impressed though, he has had to cancel his holidays. We were going to take my kids away for a week and my parents were going to look after them while just him and I had a week away on our own, but now all that's come to a sudden halt and we're all staying home. But that's okay, we can go away another time.

My cocker spaniels Monty and Bella are goinig to be parents!! Although I wasnt planning on breeding them just yet they must have been very sneaky and "done it" when I was out. :tut_tut: I just happened to be outside last night grooming them when I noticed Bella's nipples were quite large and she looked a bit plumper than usual. I rang the vets this morning and took her in for an ultrasound and there are at least 6 puppies! I'm going to try and post the photo of the puppies, so give me a while to see if I can do it............. and here they are !!

Try not to worry too much Budgielover13, when I finally fell pregnant after 5 years of trying and 3 attempts at IVF, I finally fell pregnant and at 12 weeks I woke up one night to find myself lying in a huge pool of blood. I naturally thought i had miscarried, but miraculously I hadnt. The doctors could not explain why it happened but I carried Lauren to full term with no further complications so try not to panic just yet.

So far so good Kaz! They are eating well and growing at a rate of knots. My worry is if their beaks dont grow back how are they are they going to eat after they are weaned?

I just hope they are okay, I would be devastated if they didnt survive. This is the very first time I have had a deformity in my birds' beaks so it was quite a shock when I found it. I have my fingers crossed the extra vitamins and calcium will help.

I have removed all the chicks from the nest and am handrearing them as they stopped feeding the last clutch at two weeks of age and they all starved to death except for one. I will add some multivitamins and calcium to their feed.

So do you think the parents might have done this to them? I have some Calcivet drops I thought I might add to their handrearing mix as I thought it might help the beak grow back? Thanks for fixing the heading!

I have just been down to check on my Princess Parrot chicks after having been away for the weekend and have discovered two of them have hardly any top beak, a bit like a hair lip on a human! Has anyone seen this problem before and what should I do? Can a moderator please change my heading to Princess Parrot instead of cockatiel?? Thanks!! What they should look like

Great news!! I now have 6 baby ducklings!!!! They are sooooo cute! 5 of them are yellow and 1 is black. They are just adorable. Pics coming in the morning!!! (None of the chook eggs hatched - dont know why)

If you have never crop fed before I'd be very careful - there's a real danger of killing the bird if you dont get the tube in the right spot! Be careful the budgie doesnt attack the chick as once she realises its not one of hers she might try to kill it. (Im speaking from experience) Good luck!

I finally managed a few pics of my Major Mitchell chick and I thought I'd show off my gorgeous 16 year old daughter Lauren. This was taken on the night of her Year 10 Formal. She had a ball, and danced all night!

Hi everyone! I guess you're wondering where I've been over the past few weeks! I have just been so flat out working any overtime shifts possible, trying to keep up with everything at home, etc etc. Plus handrearing my hoard of babies and eagerly anticipating the chook and duck eggs to hatch any day now! I am overdue posting some pics of my babies, hopefully I will get a chance this week!

I have candled all my friends chook and duck eggs and they're all fertile! So on approximately the 22nd of Nov I'm going to have cutesy wutesy ducklings and chicks!!! :rofl: :hug:
