  1. okay, so I live out in the middle of no where and I am pretty sure our closest avian vet is 2 hours away....I went and sore my vet who happens to live up the road and she said the same thing either tumor or some problem with oviduct she said she should be okay to stay in with the cock as she doesnt seem to think it is a disease. So what to do what to do???? Take her out of the breeding cage and away from the cock to rest her. She may have ruptured something internally.
  2. She seems to have an issue possibly with her oviduct that only an avian vet could diagnose.
  3. The earliest form of medicine [middle ages] was to sit at a busy cross roads and speak to passers by about your symptoms and perhaps happen by a remedy from one of said passers by... Don't be afraid to utilize the accumulated knowledge available to you on this site if you feel your doctors are in the dark, they often are. That said, I hope your health is restored A.S.A.P. and that your birds are not implicated in any way, lots of love and positive thoughts... Well said Richo :thankyou:
  4. Beautiful :thankyou:
  5. also check the nestbox and cock for signs of red mite. Red mite love ear canals, and you will see signs of them in nestbox crevices and the slots on perches etc. Looks like pepper. White cloth over the cage at night and check it in the morning.
  6. Yellowface or golden face mauve spangle
  7. She is pretty :thankyou: Macka, besides the opaline saying she is female...the photos show a whitish cere.......sure sign of female in budgie babies
  8. You arent meant to pick up and handle the eggs anyway. You need a strong torch...there are keyring torches with led lights that are availoable in auto supply shops if you cannot get a candling torch....use that. Put it in the nestbox behind the egg shining forward to where you are and you will then see what you need to be looking for.
  9. Apply some betadine. Nails dont look too long. Just another accident or you have hens that like to nip the feet of the one next to them....its more common than you think when they demand more perch space
  10. It will be yellow
  11. Wet babies...............they had mucked up their drinker with seed debris so I added a Dcup for water while I cleaned out their drinker. Turned my back for a moment and they had all bathed in the dcup of water
  12. Picture tomorrow  Here is the chick...........007 as per its legring :hap: with siblings parents
  13. 2 weeks you should see improvement if mites. Tail pumping can be due to being chased and caught and also due to air sac mites.

  19. It will certainly widen your circle of contacts and helpful mentors Shannon
  20. If you mean this picture GB they are Daniela's birds.
  21. What is the reason you want to join another club Shannon ? Are you happy with your club ? Do you want to join the clearwing club to help with your clearwing breeding ? I am in three clubs and sometimes its very hard to get to all the meetings and to do all that you need to in three clubs.
  22. Grey opaline spangle. Normal spangles you show. opaline sangles rarely win over a normal spangle in the spangle class due to markings being part of the point score. Opaline spangles do not have the markings of spangles as per the STANDARD. He is a nice bird.
  23. Extra melanin was a surprise
  24. Getting info out of you Fero is really hard. We cant answer your questions properly unless we get all the info. You are handing it out in dribs and drabs like hints
  25. Green is dominant, so you will only get yellow DF spangles and green spangles from that pairing unless Mum is split blue
