  1. Losing weight is not a good sign for a hen about to raise babies. Check to see if she is poopy or if the nest smells funny indicating an issue. Put half a cup of seed in the nestbox ( loose...pour it in ) and see if it helps.

The baby on the right is an ino...albino or lutino depending on the parents. Anything beak related at this age will mean nothing. You may be seeing the egg tooth still attached making it look a little weird.
  3. Looking good Shannon You must be very happy so far
  4. He is older than two months.
  5. Makes one wish for more.....but only so much will fit on a suburban block
  6. You have taken some beautiful pictures of your birds........and it was so great meeting you today and your Mum and brother.

  11. This one from Omelette's first clutch has changed a little and Nasty here are some from her second clutch more to come.
  12. Two chicks only on second round. There were four but the two youngest had yellowbelly after hatching and died.
  13. Second one is NOT a lacewing. Considering the cage bars are across her wings and you cannot see markings she could be anything but she is NOT a lacewing. Check forum under members birds in mutations to see what a lacewing looks like. She may be a spangle.

  16. Well, either wait till the sex is determined or choose a unisex name. I like the name Kobi :budgiedance:
  17. You have a gorgeous recessive pied skyblue looks like. But if you have used a flash on the camera its hard to get the right shade of blue and also9 hard to determine sex. A natural daylight photo.......clear ones of the cere will help us to help you sex the bird. By thye first photo it looks female but if you used the flash on the camera that could be throwing the colours out a bit.
  18. Wet as a shag, eh Dave Here's some more baby and kindie cage snaps

Wondering what is the safe thistle you can give to your birds......have some growing on the back lawn and we think its thistle but we arent sure. Cant take pictures as the camera batteries need recharging. Yellow flower and leaves are kind of elongated triangular. Anyone got a picture ?
  22. Wonderful result
  23. Its the age old way to sex human babies.....not the nut and string but same principal. PENDULUM on string or thread. In our family we always used a wedding ring on a length of hair to sex a soon to arrive baby in the family. You can use a crystal on a string anything really. You can set it to answer YES and NO questions.
  24. Great Job Daz !!! Your name is in lights
