    I agree..........I only leave a night light on in the birdroom, or the light from a hospital cage, anything like a 40 watt globe will tend to make my birds stay awake all night too.....and keep the neighbours awake too.

    INCORRECT My birdroom always has a radio and light on and if mice are around that certainly doesnt stop them.
  3. Another one hatched today. That's three chicks in two days :rofl: Here is the mother on her babies and her babies 6 eggs and most showing fertile 7 eggs and five showing fertile
  4. I know some lovely single ladies who are in budgie clubs. There's scope for romance everywhere you look really if you have an open mind.

  7. Good advice Jeff. The birds do go through a bit at auctions, leading up to the auctions and afterwards.....more so when they have to fly interstate too

    I'm guessing it didn't kill them :unsure: but did it make them sick? I have expanda foamed the entire aviary/birdroom (a very dodgy job) but i'm going to put a ceiling and insulation in so birds can't get at the steel wool and expanda foam. I'm really hoping no mice get in If birds can chew it I am guessing a determined mouse can too :hooray:

    When we talk about SPANGLES as Raelene is ..........its about the wing markings mostly. Here is a great photo of two babies I once had and shows the difference between a NORMAL marked budgie and a SPANGLE marked budgie the normal is on the left and the spangle on the right. If you think in terms of a photo negative taken of the budgie on the left and that photo negative is the markings of the spangle on the right

  22. I would get him to a vet straight away then mate...............doesnt sound good. My boy isnt vomiting and his poops arent bad. Another similar bird to yours ( same symptoms ) recently vet diagnosed as an ECOLI infection

  24. I have a bird just like yours right now having been transported across australia for someone else just a couple of days ago. he is in a cage with warm lamp and some raspberry in his water and sparx.
