okay thanks a lot guys! She has been in the nest box all night, and this morning...And Chico has been feeding her a lot. I have never seen him mount still, but is it possible for her to lay eggs without mating, of course theyll be infertile though:(. Another one should b ehere tomrrow, so im anticpating it! And yes, i will candle the eggs 5 days after, so on wednesday i will candle the egg number 1, then so on and so forth.... PRAY FOR ME!!!!... like Nerwen is!...(Laughing out loud) thx again Kirby

Did u order your from this same place in orlando, and if so, how much did it cost in all, in Canadian currernncy to get delivered to your front door? Hey guys! I just looked into the nest box, and noticed an egg!!! My pair Chico is 4, Ariel is 2, and they have lived together for about 2 years. They hated eachother, so i baught Kirby to try and seduce Ariel, which didnt work. Chico and KIrby bonded, so i baught Belle who bonded with Ariel ...UNTIL!!!..i left Chico and Ariel together in the bigger cage, and moved Kirby and Belle into smaller cage beside Chico and Ariel, however i put a divider between the cage so they couldnt see eachother...Chico and Ariel BONDED!!!..amazingly, and started to feed eachother, and flirt a lot...(i put them toegtehr with the nest box about 2 weeks ago). Ariel would arch her back, and would allow Chico to mount her, but i never saw him..he would just sing to her, and feed her instead. I have just opened the nest box today, and i saw a egg!!!....Could they have mated while i was gone?. or are hens able to give birth to an egg without mating? Im hoping that this litle egg is fertile, so i will candle it on wednesday!....[probably sonner (Laughing out loud)]...What are your sugestions? Chico has been feeding her, and shes been in nest box a lot incubating egg, so these are good signs right? thx Kirby

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!....i love violets!..little own cinnamon violet pieds! GUESS WHAT GUYS!!!!!.....I JUST LOOKED INTO THE NET BOX, AND THERES AN EGG!!! .....BUT IVE NEVER SEEN THEM MATE!!!....THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER IN THE CAGE FOR LIKE 2 YEARS, BUT HAVE NEVER BONDED UNTIL I LEFT THEM BOTH ALONE IN THE CAGE, AND TOOK OUT MY OTHER ONES...THEY FEED EACHOTHER A LOT RECENTLY, AND SHE ARCHES HER BACK A LOT, BUT IVE NEVER SEEN HIM MOUNT!!! IS IT POSSIBLE FOR FEMALES TO HAVE AN EGG WITHOUT BREEDING????....UNLESS THEY MATED WHILE I WAS AT SCHOOL! I candled the eggs on friday, and they all have a yellow round cloud in the egg....that is the embryo right?....so hopefully they are fertile?!?!?!?!? Im expecting my new cage to get here this friday, from orlando Florida! Im going to keep one or two babies...and im expecting 100% recessive pieds!!! And her new lover is the yellow male in the white cage which is now moved in with her in the bigger cage, and my yellow faced blue male is now in the smaller white cage with the skyblue baby hen....enjoy! okay thanks Dingo! So, pieds eh?!?!?..which i LOVE, but will i get any blues, or opalines? Chicos siblings in the clutch after him were opalines, with white faces, then there was one yellow faced normal blue. In his clutch, the babies were all yellow pieds, and then there was one white B E A U T I F U L pied boy, who i almost kept....but liked Chicos tempermant better. And no, i have NEVER bred Chico. (Laughing out loud), your right, it sounds like i did, but i just owned his parents who bred him, and i just decided to keep him.... So, no cinnamons then? (Laughing out loud) thanks Nerwen! The thing is, i breed Chico 4 years ago, and i baught Ariel when she was 8 weeks at a pety shop like a year and a half ago. So they have never breed before, and this is the 1st time they ever payed attention to one another!...hahahha. All i hope is i get healthy babies in spring, and Chico and Ariel remain freinds!!..(Laughing out loud). They have fed eachother A LOT now, like 3-5 times a day that I notice, so who knows how many times while im at school. She has been in "U" shape another time last night that i saw, and he still just sang, and bonbbed his head on her back...(Laughing out loud). But he still looks to be gettinbg bolder and bolder everyday!....Shes in the nest box as we speak, with Chico on entrance hole singing to her...(Laughing out loud) Kirby

VERY FLIRTATIOUS, BEAUTIFUL FEMALE!!!!...(Laughing out loud) Ive had females in the past who act like males, and seduce other hens, but deep down inside, they are females...(Laughing out loud)! To breed this beauty, id say put her in a breeding cage with an older male (she looks about 1-3 years, so id put her in with a 4-5 yr old male) and see what happens. Im almost guaranteing babies withing a yr!....cute ones too:) Kirby

Id say put Petrie back with Ceaser in the green bottom white cage in lunch room, then all three boys in other white cage. Its fine for 3 baby male budgies, and if fighting occurs, move them around again. I do not think it is right to seperate Petrie from Ceaser when they have bonded as freinds for a long time before you got the new guys!...(Laughing out loud) Kirby
