yes Daz..(Laughing out loud), i knew that. Im from Canada, and my freind breeds budgies...and then theres that oen guy who has VERY nice breeding pairs of budgies in Italy. What i meant was, that most of the people on this forum are either from Australia, or UK.....And yes i agree, call your local avian vet, search in newspaper for budgie breeders, or even put out adds in the newspaper saying 'budgies wanted from a good breeder'...(Laughing out loud) Kirby

That is definately breeding behaviour!... I think that the babies will be mostly greens as green is a dominant colour right?....They will have spangles as it is dominant gene, and they might have clearwings or whatever Yoki is... Good luck, her overeating on the iodine block just means that she wants more viatmins, and possibly that she knows she needs more since she is an experienced breeder hen.... post more pics of their progress!...as well as the aviary setup!..id like to see in indoor shelter part....(Laughing out loud) Kirby

thanks lovey.... I dont know what to do still, i feel bad..i think im still going to wait until i get the new aviary which should arrive on wednesday, then put Chico, Ariel, Kirby, and Belle in it all at once, and that will be when i take out the ggs, and nest box from Ariel:( So this way, she has a new cage, and her old freinds back so that she doesnt think about breeding for a couple more weeks....Then i will move Ariel with Chico again, or a new male i might buy soon to breed with (the new male i might get wil be part of a breeding pair that i will buy off of my freinds dad whos a budgie breeder....so the male will be experienced unlike my Chico, and i think the new male will mate with Ariel. Chico is soo nice, and is too shy to mount Ariel, but a breeder male will have no problem!..(Laughing out loud)) thanks again guys! Kirby

Thanks Shawna....i love you right now!... Im feeling really bad...and depressed as Ariel is doing a GREAT job, shes been on the eggs for the past 2 weeks non-stop, and everything! Shes even being a better mother to the eggs than my 1st female how actually had a clutch of 11! So, im going to leave them in for another week, and if nothing happens, unfortunately, i will toss the eggs, but i think im going to burry them under the tree in our backyard as not only me, but many other things including Ariel, Chico, and my family members have gotten close to these little eggs!... So....hopefully they will breed another day, and create babies for not only me, to for Ariel so all her hard work can pay off!.... :(:(...there, 5 sad faces since 5 eggs are infertile..*i think* Kirby

well....the oldest is about 13 days old now...and i have not touched them in a couple days....She has not laid anymore, so should i candle them once more...and if i see no veins, should i remove them all?... Thanks Kirby

When you say solid blue, you mean all blue...no blacks, whites, or anything?...Thats not possible i dont think since blue is a dark factor, and markings are always present....right? Kirby

okay, sounds good nerwen! I did candle them again...and just yellow yols were in them....no veins! Im using an ordinary flashlight, so could that be why?!?!?.... She didnt not lay another one today (she was suppose to lay her 6th today) but the days not over yet, its still only 5:44pm over here in Canada! She is still being very loving towards them (has been incubating them all since each one was born and the oldest egg is now 11 days old)...and ive heard the hen only incubates them if they are fertile?....So wish my tons of luck!...and what size flashlight do i need?..mines only a cheap, smaller one....
