However mine has two doors, and i didnt get the one with those platforms for rodents Id say take out the ladders, and planks...and add more perches I have 6 in my cage.... and if you ever need to divide the birds, i move the metal grate up, and wedge it against the walls...but since i have two doors, they each have their own entrance, other then your case, if you open the door, both halves have time to escape (Laughing out loud) . . . . . . Great cages! Id agree with Nerwen! Id say put breeding pair in white smaller cage, and other non breeding guys in the biggest 'aviary'....then keep black one as a spare... Then when/if the breeding pair has babies, once weaned, or once the hen is finished laying, and feeding the 1st round of babies, move them to the black cage for a bit to monitor eating, then keep the breeding pair in the white smaller cage. This way, they can have 2 clutches, and as soon as the last baby from clutch 2 is 5 weeks old, remove nest box, even if theres an egg, and keep them all together....unless by this time the 1st batch is in the huge cage, then the 1nd batch of babies can go in the black cage... yes...i use to have that cage! I had a breeding pair in it! It was great! more than enough room for a pair, with a max of 8 babies for a couple months! Id say, your fine with 2 in that...no more than that though! That is provided they get a lot of free flying time! Kirby

So far, hes mounted little Tango whos only 8 weeks old at LEAST 10 times, and is attempting to mount Belle whos 9 months! Its hilarious! I feel terrible for you smilyl! Thats the thing with breeding, there could be a million ups, but then 2 million downs.... Hows the other guys doing? Does the other hen have any babies yet? We havenot heard from you in a while :fear I know its not really the time to ask, but would you be able to take the camera in the aviary with you next time you go in to check on the two chicks, and snap some shots of the aviry, the hens, the babies, and the cock birds?
