QUIN IS A SURPRISE BABY!!! Shes VERY clear coloured! Shes 6 days old now...and not a single morsal of colour anywhere. She does have white down though (very little bit...but i think a normal amount still). Also, i noticed her beak is different from the other babies who are yf blues and normal blues!!!! Her dad is a yellow face blue type II and her mom is a brilliant skyblue hen. :hap: They are both petstore baught, so i dont know their genetics Quins beak looks like the colour of Chico and Ariel my recessive pieds! It also does NOT have any black on it. Unlike the other babies... So, does anyone know, or can anyone please post pictures or help me in any way if recessive pied babies get dark ceres? So its now morning..and the babies have changed SO MUCH in the past 10 hours! :hap: (Laughing out loud) 1) Lucky is a yellow face skyblue i believe (as his colour is skyblue, and his tail feathers are the seagreen colour most skyblues have. I checked Kirby (the babies dad, and also my yellow face blue type II) and he does NOT have that coloured tailfeathers. So thats why im thinking hes a yellow face skyblue) 2) Tweety is a cobalt normal (as his tail feathers are a gorgeous cobalt colour, and also near his legs a brilliant cobalt colour is showing through) 3) Grace is looking to be a cobalt so far i think but shes still to young. 4) Toby is also looking to be either a yellow face blue, or a cobalt. Hey my feinds!!! So, ive been cmaping the pas 2 days which is why i wasnt here But ive got new news!!! So, the day we left, Lucky nor Tweety were bieng fed at all I was sooo sad! I tried the hand feeding mix Neither took to it (Tweety took 1 gulp and had enough) So, on the way to our capsite 45min away me and my mom planned creative ideas to make graves for them I felt sooo sick! BUT!!!!!! When i got home today...ALL 5 BABIES DOING AMAZING!!!!!!! Lucky is huge, same with others!!!! AND ABOUT THEIR COLOURS!!!... Lucky is a yellow face skyblue im pretty sure as under his tail is very bright (turquise)..also his stomach is the same colour.. then his lil face is yellow. Then, Tweety is a white face unlike what i though. His colour is very cobalt i think...and his face is white. THEN!!!!! Quincy (Last baby) has got NO COLOUR ON HIM!!!! Hes the youngest baby, and is 5 days old! Or maybe 4 i forget. So i think hes a white recessive pied maybe? NO COLOUR ANYWHERE!!!! Not on back, face, wings, ANYWHERE!!! Yet his eyes are dark Ill snap pics tomrrow when it is sunny...Grace is being blue normal but to young to see head colour..and baby Toby (4th baby) is dark aswell!!! So, Quinn is definately a whie based budgie REMEMBER HOW I WANTED A SURPRISE!!! I THINK I GOT ONE!!!! OR maybe he is a opaline? Who knows..time will tell! Kirby

HAHAHA well see! Im off camping for this long weekend. We leave in about an hour..sleep over, then come home tomrrow around 8pm. Ive put lots of food dishes, and water e.t.c. As the babies are just gettin sooo big! ALSO..i was CORRECT ABOUT GRACIES SEX!!! SHES A ADORABLE FEMALE!!!! Thanks guys! Sadly, i wont be keeping any...not even Lucky I dont have enough room for 7 birds as of this moment in time. HOWEVER!!! In spring (so in about 7-8 months) when Oscar my cobalt spangle, and Emma my yellow face type II skyblue cinnamon opaline hen breed...ill be keeping one of their babies... BABY 6 HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive called him/her Skye...as i bet shell be blue..like other 5 (Laughing out loud)... Sorry ive been busy..hes about 18 hours old now Being fed, not being trampleed and being kept VERY WARM!!! YAY! IM SOOO EXCITED AND THRILLED WITH KIRBY AND BELLE!!!! They are being such goof 1st time parents...and babies are doing great! Lucky (baby 1) is VERY bonded with me When i hold him he rests his head of a finger and stares at me before he falls asleep....but when my mom hold h im he cries and cries until she gives him back to me Then he cuddles me up again So hes sure gonna be hard to sell in 5 weeks Tweety is keeping his name..VERY NOISY!!!! Grace is a gorgeous lil one. Not talkative like Tweety...shes more like Lucky as she loves bieng held, and is very quiet. Toby, baby 4 is very active! Crawling around, crawling over the 'baby pile'... Hey there Bud! So you added the nest box? And her cere is brown? OR... Bigger vent means her vent is being streched by something...such as bigger poop from an egg being formed and about to lay. When you say flight feathers on her side...do you mean her tail feathers are raised up? And it looks like shes got somthing in her bum? Females will call to their mate when they want fed...or when they are just having fun and feel like expressing themselves..much like males do. Sleeping less has nothing to do with it i dont think...It might though. How often is she sleeping..and is she possibly sick? It would GREATLY HELP with NEW pics of BOTH birds and the setup ASAP for us all to see whats happening to your pair. Hope all is well! Kirby

Ive already found a GREAT home for 1 male hopefully yellow face...to a wonderful lad who belongs to a forum and already has a single budgie...Shell buy 1 for sure..but if there is 2 left over (the one she will take, and another no one wants yet) she said shell take it as long as she can tell hem apart I will put an ad in the newspaper which is VERY good! As when i bred before i sold all 8 of the babies in 20 minutes of the paper being out to houses Thats how badly people want gorgeous tame baby budgies in Guelph Ontario Canada :wine Will keep you all posted... I sit and hold them for 15minutes when i get home form school then once before bed and they just sit on me and stare at me SOOO CUTE!!!!! Thanks guys!!! Im back home now...with 2 new goldfish ... (Laughing out loud) So...i went into nest box..and i thought my mom got me a new baby because when i lifted up the door..all i saw was a HUGE fuzzy thing pressed against the glass! It was Lucky who is now a MONSTER and has white downy and blue colouring coming in. I only saw 4 babies,a nd the 2 eggs..so i thought maybe baby 5 wasnt going to hatch. Until i looked into the nest 10 minutes later and found 5 babies! So, i now have 5 babies, and i will take pics soon for you all to enjoy Sammy (2nd baby) is huge now to..and blue is coming in fast Baby 4 is still teeny tiny..but gettin bigger like others Im off to go take some piccies for you n ow... brb HAHA Shawna! Thats nothing! You should see them when they are freshly fed! Hes normally twice that size But at this stage in growing they all feel like a toad so it grosses me out like CRAZY!!! YUCK!!!
