  1. He really is beautiful Riebe! I wonder if he might be a goldenface with all that bleed?? Romeo's yellow is restricted to his face and wing tips.
  2. Oh nice pics. They are looking great. Are you keeping both of them? Would love to see a belly/front on shot of the grey. S/he looks great!
  3. Awesome picture!!!!
  4. Yes, you are absolutely the cutest!!!
  5. Sorry for the loss of your baby. The new picture is great! A sea of yellow. They are so pretty. Can't wait to see them on a perch!!
  6. Villandra (Dora), welcome to the forums. Finding the right nutritional mix for our budgies seems to be a challenge sometimes if they are fussy. I've tried pellets - two kinds - an my budgies have been chucking them. I even tried grinding them up and mixing with the seed. They love veggies and get lots of those. Broccoli and romaine are there favourites. As for seed, I just bought a bag of canary and finch seed to mix in. I'll see how they make out on that. I really only have the one budgie that is 'overweight' but more than anything I want to give them a healthy variety. Regarding oats, if you see my post on the canary seed - I was asking if there was anything in it that would be harmful to budgies - someone mentioned that oats are like chocolate bars to budgies. I'm trying different things to see what works for my budgies.
  7. I've replaced all the cups with the gravity feeds. They seem to be working a lot better.
  8. Well budgiebird, like you, I have a really expensive digital slr camera, and I've had no luck getting a flying picture. Well today I was videotaping the birds trying to get something to upload to putfile. I flipped it over to camera mode with the crappy 2.3 mpixel camera that is built in and look what I got....
  9. It may take them a bit of time to get used to it, but once they get the hang of it, they should have some fun - and so will you watching them

They are beautiful. The first one looks like a beautiful golden face. I have a male the same colour. And the yellow one is lovely to. Is she a spangle or recessive pied? I like Lovey's name suggestions or Emerald and Diamond. The Emerald is especially fitting and she could go with Emmy for short.
  11. They are gorgeous. Good luck on your search!
  12. One and 4 are definately girls with those brown ceres. I think 2 is also a girl and 3 might be a male. Where is that wonderful flock of budgies?
  13. Nice pics - I always love pics!!! Raven is a nice name and such a beautiful colour!
  14. Sounds really interesting! I'll be keeping an eye on the post to hear how Blinks is doing. Are you planning the same for Oz?
  15. I would be worried about predators too because budgies are so small. We have lots of hawks and eagles around ere. I've actually never heard of such a thing before. It is a nice idea, but I would be a nervous wreck.
  16. My wheel hung in the cage for a long time and nobody used it. Finally when I put it up high they started to explore it. There were even two in it this afternoon. They weren't spinning it, just sitting but I'm pleased they are all giving it a chance. Even my chubby budgie Beka was in it. Maybe she'll walk off a few grams :offtopic:
  17. I was going to say cobolt hen as well. Very pretty. I have a cobolt opaline but she is darker blue than yours.
  18. Thanks everyone. I'm going to give it a try. I'll mix it in first - I still have some of the other stuff.
  19. Sorry about the first egg. Wishing you luck with the rest!!
  20. I'm going to try again and see if I can get this to link properly. This is a quick shot of Puddin in the wheel. http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c299/mom...view¤t=mova.flv
  21. They are really cute and I'm sure will be stunning when they are all grown. Wow!
  22. Awwwe! They are really cute! How many days old are they?
  23. They are growing so fast.

Sounds like a great friend. Yes, pictures please.
  25. Oh yes. Sometimes they hook they claws to the side while it is spinning and end up hanging upside down rocking back and forth. Can never get to my camera fast enough. It is hilarious!
