  2. I agree with Kaz, the only way you will know is if an avian vet does x-rays to see if there is a tumor.
  3. Hugs, I hope your sleep is restful.
  4. OH NO....my heart hurts for you I had a recent scare with Merlin and I though OMG he can't die. I hope it is nothing, I hope it is something that can be treated. :laughter::grouphug:

:laughter: awesome news Andrew, I just LOVE Bing is coloring and character is just wonderful. This picture I think you should submit for budgie of the month Oh and add him to the Member's YellowFace Mutation Post, this picture you can clearly see the cut off of the yellow bleeding into the blue and you can add him in the Opaline Mutation Post too . NOTE: I am not sure if it is the indoor condition but Merlin seems to be in a constant molt to it is crazy...

that is awesome Rose, I just love when they behave, Merlin was like that when I took him to the avian vet right after Pretty died he was so impressed with them, they are so used to seeing budgies that are not tame.
  7. Awesome news...keep it up and continue to ask questions we will always try and help 2 very nice pics of her - you should submit one of them for Budgie of the Month :laughter:.
  8. :laughter: that is cute
  9. Greywing is when the body is only 50% strenght and the wings are grey Dilute is 80% Dilutation which is what she is I agree with Neville Spangle the tail feathers would be clear. The first picture of her I can see the opaline. I think the wings look different because of the fact they don't look like they are laying down smooth. Right now I go with a Opaline Dilute Grey Oh and a note, pearl and silver is not a mutation in budgies but it is in cockatiels.

Ben is such a doll Trish :laughter:
  11. they are so tiny and sweet, just a note when you are taking close ups with your camera, use the close up setting which is usually indicated by a "flower" or it is called the macro setting then when you point and shoot, click the button 1/2 way down and let the camera focus once it focus then click. You will find your close ups are clearer. :laughter:.
  12. Good on you for keeping her quarantined :laughter:. A picture would help as suggested. Maybe it is trying to heal and she keeps itching it maybe there is more too it but our members can help you out with that.
  13. What a rainbow of mutations and colors, your birds are lovey. You have so many nice pictures, I suggest taking one and adding to Budgie of the Month :laughter:.
  14. Welcome to the forum :laughter:, sorry to hear about your little sounds like he live a good long life. In our FAQ, we have 2 good articles about Evaluation of a Pet Shop and Breeder so if all you have is the choice of a Pet Shop at least you can evaluate them properly.
  15. OMG me too Kaz WOW Liv just pack her up to my house she can :laughter: over
  16. Chicks are looking awesome, the last 2 pictures are so cute.
  17. Skyblue or Cobalt Opaline Dilute Green Texas Clearboby or an Opaline This one the same as the one above or different if so need a better picture of the back of the wings. Below, blue and white budgie: Skyblue Spangle Below, budgie on left: Dilute Cobalt Recessive Pied These are my guess with the pictures you have, don't post them anywhere until we get more opinions too.
  18. MB it sounds like you are doing everything possible, my fingers are crossed that your efforts are a success.
  19. Yes, I remember Kaz, in fact now that I am getting better lol, the first picture of Mammoth looks female - very white nasal rings, but has she progress to the 2nd picture it is very pink and the nasal rings don't show as much throwing us novices off. Good post Liv.
  20. I am not going by the baby pics as I suck at that lol that was proven in Kaz's post on baby ceres but I remember this one when I was adding to the FAQ that Kaz had a baby just like this and I questioned here. The cere is not a smooth like a typical male it is more flakey like and flat. Here is the picture
  21. Remember that one Kaz, I believe she is in the Ceres post that I thought was a boy but a definite hen it reminds me of this one totally, am going with hen.
