Yes she is considered a baby :bump:, adult around the 12 month mark, 6-11 months teenage like . Keep an eye on her if she is still sleepy alot you should have periods of alertness and in the afternoon most budgie seem to be quieter.

  6. A well check here for Merlin and a wing clip was 80.00 plus I also bought pellets which were pricey and it was extra. I can't remember what they were, if you want a pellet partial diet you can also go to a petstore and get natural pellets, the best way to intro them is to crush them up with a spoon and then sprinkle over the seed.
  7. 2 suggestions that should fix the problem . welcome

  11. 3-5 are afternoon nap hours for budgies they are most active in the morning and in the evening that is when you should work with her.
  12. I think if you do 1 more wing clip and work that time he will. You have to make him feel like he is just as safe with you as he is in his cage.
  13. Jenene they are looking great and that picture that Kaz took OMG he looks huge.
  14. MB you are right he is listening to you Andrew and the fact of the matter is Merlin does the same thing he stops and listens and if you do it all the time you will find that he is mimicking your noises when he is chatting away. As for the toys bring them by you when you want him by you. You may even think of another wing clip to work on this process so it is not stressful and then let them grow out again. When budgies have their wings they fly that is what birds do but I understand what you want and Pretty would do it to me too fly to the highest curtain rod and then he would swoop me.
  15. So are you saying that Oscar is a blue bird with a yellowface and it turned him green? That was my question if he is a Yellowface.

  21. Your right to get an ino female the dad was split. My question was more that they feathers down by her legs are they green or bluish green like the dad too. YF or GF is an added mutation to what she is if she didn't have the yellow she would be completely white since she is a blue based bird. Which means either both your birds are blues or the dad is carrying the blue gene. You have to have 2 blue genes to have a blue based bird and ino is a blue based bird and the ino gene erases the blue from the bird leaving white. The other variety is lutino which is all yellow and the green is erased from the ino gene.
