Croaking Noise
I would personally look up in the phone book under vets and start with the ones in your area and ask them. Pet shops will not give you good advice (most of the time) Here is an article from our FAQ also, see if this helps. Click here to search for an avian vet in the area. Some avian vets are not always listed so if you find an avian vet by you but not close you can call them and ask if they know of anyone closer to your area. This link can be used for all countries. It is important that you find an avian vet before your bird (s) become sick. When birds become sick they go downhill very quickly and if you don't have an avian vet that you know of you will go into panic mode. Be prepared! It may save your birds life. Parakeet Fluffing, Sleeping A Lot After Purchase
don't put it in the water because budgies barely drink any and it will dilute the medications. continue to do what you are doing even though it dribbles down the side I am sure some is still getting down his throat. glad to hear they are feeling better.

Post Pictures: Of Your Dogs
It has been a while since we had a post to show off your other pets, lets work on dogs this week :glare:. Then we can do cats and others another week. We can do past and present so if you had a dog that passed away please we want to remember with you. I know there is a post already out there but there are new members, new dogs, new photo's etc... so I wanted to start a new thread. Here is my handsome Brandy (yes a boy with a girl name) He was a stray and we found him when he was 4 months old he lived to be 18yrs old, he passed way in 2007. Here is beautiful Niketa who was take so suddenly, we got her when she was 9wks old and she just passed away in Nov from a liver tumor, she was 14yr old and loved being free and running. Now we have.... Cabela, who lived in a puppymill for the first 5 yrs of his life, we adopted him from a minature pinscher rescue 2 years ago. He is my snuggle boy, loves to bury himself in the covers and has really come a long way. Recently, new addition to our family is Sonny, he was owner surrendered to a high kill shelter, they were going to put him to sleep the day he was brought in because the shelter didn't have any room and there is no holding since his owners brought him in, a GSD rescue pulled him and we adopted him from them. He is an amazing boy, he is just about 10 months old. Here is a picture with Sonny and my daughter And you may ask how does a little dog and a huge dog play? Here is a picture they love to play together.

If they are a true avian vet they will have a certificate showing this and you can ask if they are certified they will tell you yes or no, there are some vets are not certified that yes will say I see birds. You can also ask how many birds he has in his practice that he sees and on a weekly basis. Don't be afraid to make small talk and chat. I have personally experienced the difference between the both when my Pretty was sick. The vet I went actually said the same thing yours did in respect of the throat and gave a broad spectum antibiotic as yours did. The key is to keep him very warm during this period of time to make sure he recovers and keep an eye on the poops to ensure eating and drinking. When I took Merlin for a check-up at an avian vet the experience was so different and I could tell who really knew what and who didn't. Either way, good on you getting this little one to the vet :glare:.

Budgie Pictures

Sy And Cilla
snuggles on the playground is adorable, if you can lighten up the picture so you can see them better you should submit that picture for Budgie of the Month for sure :glare:. Thank you for sharing, they are both beautiful.

Don't Count Your Chickens
very sorry to hear about your loss :glare: hugs

The "angry Noise"
how long do you keep them covered? I would increase the cover time to at least 12-14 hours a day to decrease the mood swings, I believe you will find this will help.

Puppies On Their Way!
they are beautiful, I just watched a show it is new on APL called "In the Womb" they talked all about 1 wolf, 3 different types of dogs and showed pictures on how they develop from conception to birth it was amazing, I learned so much.

Noooooooo....
through reading through other breeding posts such as Kaz's I know it can happen and others have lost their cocks to this type of hen, most of them say retire them they can't be trusted. Lets see what they say. I am sorry about your loss :glare:.

Meet The Newest Member Our Birds
Charlie can be used for a boy or a girl now a days , I like the name.

Meet The Newest Member Our Birds
I love the pied mutation it is my favorite in cockatiels, pieds can only be DNA sexed or when they get older by their behavior .

The "angry Noise"
molting takes a toll on a bird some molts are worse then others, Merlin right now looks like someone plucked his feathers from his head he looks terrible and has been quieter then usual this is normal for a molting bird to be quieter, crabber. As the molt is over you will find the nice little bird come back.

Are These Good Markings?
Gorgeous bird, I absolutely believe that spangles are so stunning when their markings are very defined and dark.

Parakeet Fluffing, Sleeping A Lot After Purchase
Guppies are different then birds just like humans are different then guppies There are some articles on this site about line breeding to read through to gain more knowledge. Kaz is right "most" of the time they won't breed to lay eggs if they don't have the right circumstances, but they may. I have a friend that has females that lay without males so you don't need a male to have females that lay. This is the reason I got 2 boys to ensure no eggs and no health issues with having eggs. If I ever wanted to breed I could get females later down the road.
