  1. I don't want to seem mean so please don't take it wrong it is not a good cage for 1 budgie because of the things that Kaz stated. I would invest in an aviary style cage that is longer and they can fly back and forth as budgies can do not fly up and down. .

    Thank you Jackie
  3. I agree with Nerwen you need a bigger cage that is too small for three budgie. Here is a link to our Member's Cage Set-ups, many of us get good size cages on e-bay for excellent prices. Click for Example of Cage Set-Ups
  4. I agree boy totally
  5. But remember Chase everyone though he was dominant because of his wing markings..I remember the huge debate . This is what this reminds me of.
  6. that is what Goofy? Chase? I think it was Chase now that I am thinking and he ended up being recessive too....
  7. He reminds me of Cheeta's Goofy who is a recessive pied remember Kaz...I am not saying he is just saying he reminds me because Goofy's wing patterns are very similar

how about a picture of the cage that would help a lot do you have the actual dimension of the cage in inches and such?
  11. he is gorgeous, good to hear the trick worked As for water you usually won't see them drink until they are very comfortable so if you don't and he is healthy don't worry about it much he is getting what he needs . Make sure once he settles in nicely you start introducing him to a variety diet of pellets, seeds, veggies, fruits etc... We have a nice FAQ section about nutrition that you can read up on and how to help them start eating a variety of foods.

okay I clicked on the first link and it came up with the picture so I right clicked viewed properties, copy and pasted the link and added [ img] before the link and then [ /img] after the link the problem is I can't see any of the other pictures it keeps directing me to photobucket
  13. I have found many people think budgies as one of the "cheap" pets that don't need vet care let alone a well check. Anyways, that is good that you think the way you do many don't
  14. A lot of time we think they don't eat but if you blow lightly on the seed you will see the empty hulls of the seed blow off. You have great advice above. Welcome

doesn't even give me that option Norm, maybe make them into links?
  16. I don't breed so it will be interesting what others say about stimulating through diet. I read a couple different articles today about it since you asked the question. In my opinion they need to be fed a well balanced diet. What do you feed your birds now? We can help you improve what you are doing right now to keep your birds healthy while they are breeding.
  17. how old is the female and male you are looking to breed have you tried breeding them before
  18. Elly replied to Norm's topic in New to BBC
I want to see them but the pics not showig.
  19. I was asking because a lot of people simply don't even take their birds to the vet let alone a well check-up good for you :budgiedance:. I don't think it is strict breeding I would call it responsible breeding for sure.
  20. how wonderful :budgiedance:
  21. Are you asking if you can feed them something to get them into breeding condition?
  22. by the way you really need to take a picture of him doing that :budgiedance: you had blood tests done on your new bird?
  23. yes for some birds it is we have many acrobats on this site I know you will do what you will do and you know the whys but I really suggest to restart quarantine and in separate rooms...that is my 2 cents worth though :budgiedance:.
  24. Norm it can't be a lacewing right unless the eyes are red correct? Not sure about the Texas Clearbody part you may be right, I still have hard time with time with the mutation when it is not alone. I would say though Sweetie looks like a double factor dominant pied and Sky is a opaline clearflight dominant pied
  25. Wonderful to hear
