OH okay...because I have heard never to house budgies with anything other then budgies because breeding or not they can become harassing especially when you colony breed. Good Luck and keep up updated.

you have finches and breeding budgies together in the same aviary?
  16. With an attitude like that he will!!!! Hats off to you and your family and we will continue to pray for him in our nightly blessings.
  17. Change is good especially for hormonal budgies and they will adjust and be up to their old antics in no time. I like to change Merlin's cage around 1x a month
  18. The only time Merlin gets demanding is when it is bedtime and he lets me know by calling to me and squawking. During the day he loves the noise.
  19. The one that has a lot of down really looks like a violet and the other one do if you had shots from the front and see the cheek patches....I bet that color will really intensify with as they grow. Keep us updated on these beauties.
  20. Baby is in our prayers Know that she knows that you love her and that her passing will be peaceful because she has so many wonderful memories. I know that doesn't ease the pain but Baby has suffered so much and she deserves to be flying free. She has given so much for a little one and what she has been through is truly amazing.

Oh my gosh Nerwen good observation I didn't even notice that unless it was on a patio enclosed?
  22. I am just seconding the nestbox...don't do it they will breed even if they are too young if you give them the right condition. This is usually comes with heartbreak for the breeder and the birds so please wait until they are of correct breeding age.
  23. 1. Normal Cobalt 2. YF cobalt recessive pied 3. hard to tell with the way you are holding him/her (at least for me) 4. YF cobalt clearwing 5. YF Cinnamon recessive pied and the male must be split for cinnamon so that in fact would be a female these are my answers but can be changed as for the sexes I will let others who can sex them early on do that what were the parents again can you post them that helps in identifying mutation
