I put our cage if (yours fit) in the front seat and strap it in with the seat belt with it covered all the way around , that is how I transport Merlin. Kaz gave you excellent advice and it is what I do too.

Budgie seed should be stored in a cool dry place not where it is warm and/or humid or damp because it can promote the seeds to go bad. If your budgie has the runs it could very well be sick and have nothing to do with the seed. When did the symptoms start? Are the dropping watery? Do you have an avian vet in your area that you can make an appointment with if your bird continues to show signs of being sick?

Your babies are gorgeous and I agree 6 would be perfect in there but no more it is nice to see them have their own personal space and you will find you will have less bickering .

She won't get one she loves to watch them, she said she has had her share of pets, her and my FIL like to get up and go and not worry about pets so I know they will resist :budgiedance:.

You have a cute little girl the cage you have her in really isn't the best if you can afford to upgrade I would suggest doing so so she has more room to fly around and exercise. Click Here for Example of Cage Set-Ups, I know you will find some good ideas and affordable cages too. :budgiedance:

If he is crazy for millet I taught Pretty to sit on my shoulder by putting a millet spray on my shoulder that encouraged him to stay there and chat , Merlin will go on my shoulder but he prefers my hands or keyboard. I won't let him on my head anymore because he used to scale down to bite or preen my eyebrows and lashes so I do what you are doing used my hand to fly him off or not let him land. They learn pretty quick. .

I agree with Kaz she has made very valid points. A lot of people can come back with an arguement but they are pets, I know my friend but the bottom line is that every budgie has the potential to carry "something" and can come out when stress is induce such as moving them or meeting a new budgie.
