  1. Sexing a budgie is quite easy as they are older. If the cere (the part where their nostrils are) is a very deep blue you have a male If the cere is a very light blue, light tan, or dark tan you have a hen. In a few varieties the male cere can stay a bright pink so if he is over 6 months and it is pink then is could be a male. Pics will help too .
  2. I am going with that fact that if you got them from the same place they are all from the same clutch.

Neat you forgot the next question Do you know how to cook?
  4. Neat it is like a spangle they can have 1 spangle gene so it is a single factor or 2 spangle gene and it is a double factor. (but the spangle gene does work different but just an example on the factor part) So you are looking to have double factor greys with 2 dark factors is where I think you would get the darkest grey on a bird. The same goes with the violet gene too but Norm is right if you want a bright blue then you want the violet with 1 added factor which will give you the cobalt violet.
  5. Do you have updated pics? I still say male per the pics above.

what a ham lol he is a cutie, you are very fortunate he stuck around and you could capture him back.
  7. they are lovely, do assume that they are sibling because of the mutations and coloring so you know when you breed . Keep them in a 30 day quarantine away from your flock, I am sure you know but I like to put that out for others too.

I agree with everything everyone has said, new toys can freak them out so you just have to do some adjusting. I can tell you though once they like they they end up LOVING them both my birds loved their plastic balls.

Read here on how to post pictures within guide regulation Photo Regulations/How to Post TIPS on taking good pictures that WIN Make sure you have good lighting Try and take your budgie's picture without the bar cages, many camera's will let you zoom in and you can put the lense between the space If it is a close-up use your macro setting (symbolized on some camera's by a flower) and then press the shutter button 1/2 way and let it focus If the picture is blurry check your setting and try again Make sure you resize your pictures to message board size (640x480) too small of pictures are hard to see
  14. Boys, Girls they all love their moms, I find birth order is where the factor comes in the first one always had mom and then the 2nd one dad tends to pitch in more so they are used to dad more, in the end mom is always the soother. As for Benny, this is natural part of him growing he is aware of you gone now and it is only normal for a baby to cry (just like baby budgies) when they want their mom. What helps this is to get them socialized very soon in life I did it with both my kids. I started taking both my kids to mom and me classes at 6 months so that helped learn to be around other adults and kids but most still don't like to be talked to or touched which is nice because that is okay.
