  1. It only set me back by about 300 posts
  2. It's good to have Daz back as site admin. The site maintenance erased all of the "new posts since I last signed in" posts for today, so I had to go through individual forums to find them all, but that's no biggie.
  3. Leon Obsidian Lucifer Xavier Loki Lynx Lakhesis (Another name for the Fates from Greek mythology) Phoibos (Another name for Apollo) Eos Alecto (Another name for the Furies) Mercury Jupiter Khiron (you can tell I'm going through all the Greek and Roman mythology can't you) Axios Xanthius (It actually means "fair haired one", but I think it is cool) Cerberus

Am I out of the loop on this code or is it a spelling mistake?? No. I just put asterisks around stuff that I am doing and not saying. You see I was guffawing, not actually saying "guffaw". (Guffaw is a laughing sound ) We wouldn't leave you out of the loop.
  5. I thought only mods and staff could do that
  6. Well Kaz has a 50% chance of being right anyway I wouldn't even try guessing until about 3 weeks old.
  7. Exactly
  8. It's great to have you back. We missed your inputs and wisdom. It's great all the ol' famous BBCers seem to be coming back all at once (Daz, Feathers and Bea)
  9. Good to see you back any way Daz

*guffaw* Nice to see you again Feathers.
  11. And we take your possums and sell their fur as made in NZ. hehe I would think that anyone who has done the smallest amount of research on the budgerigar know they come from Australia, so that is why I don't worry about it.
  12. You're welcome Elly. The issue is a sensitive one methinks.
  13. I only got half an hour of sleep last night. I have no idea why. It made me sad and grumpy. I got really frustrated with this cheap radio thing because it kept dying on me, so I smashed it (in my defence it was already kinda broken) . I'm not having a good morning Daz, you can't quit the forums can you? You're addicted!
  14. Just to clarify that a bit better. Not all budgies come from Australia (As in all budgies that people in other countries buy are not born in and shipped in from Aus and some breeds did not originate in Aus, ie some breeds come from Germany, some from England). The SPECIES originated from Australia. The English BREED was bred in England after birds were brought in from where they are originated from (Aus) and the pet types were bred everywhere (it is similar to the situation in dogs, the species originated in Europe, but you get some breeds with American or English in the title because they were bred in those countries). All budgies today are descended from budgies that came from Australia, because that is where the species is endemic to, and evolved there, it does not occur naturally anywhere else in the world. But these birds that are descended from the originals may have been born in England or Germany (or anywhere else for that matter) to those Breed lines.
  15. No. You are a very smart man.
  16. My girl budgie Bacardi is sort of like that. She likes to hop on my hand and chew and nibble my skin. She never bites hard though and is relatively gentle. She does give the odd hardbite by accident sometimes though, but it is never too hard. She likes to chew on my watch and LOVES chew my clothes and climb into my sleeves. She will also preen my face the same way your Shelfie does. It tickles. She won't let me scratch her though. It sounds like Shelfie is treating your hand as a toy. Bacardi will sometimes pounce on my hand too. One time I had 3 budgies doing it all at once. They particularly liked sitting on my finger as I wiggled it up and down and trying to nibble the other one.
  17. He does sound like he's a young fella. You sound like you are doing a great job with him.
  18. I know some people with Asperger's and they don't even appear or act any different to you and me. It's not too bad a syndrome at all really. They adapt very well to life and are usually highly intelligent. They can be a bit socially awkward sometimes, but they learned so quickly, that by the time they grew up they don't have any problems. I bet it was a relief to finally know.
  19. Sorry to hear the news. Hugs. We are always here for a virtual coffee chat.
  20. That's a cracker that one
  21. I reckon eh. He doesn't know much. Not compared to You Jimmy B
  22. That's good to hear deb.
  23. We got rid of our whole mouse infestation using those grey mouse traps. We caught over 20 mice . They are really effective.
