My birds have had them for over 10 years and they have never had a problem with them. Birds can hurt themselves on anything even perches. All toys have an element of danger to them.

What kind of perches do you have? If they are all the same size, then yes he will get bumblefoot (aka pododermatitis). If you have plastic or dowel perches remove these and replace them with natural perches of varying sizes, so that they can exercise their feet and have different weight distribution. Gum and poplar tree branches are safe woods to use as perches. There should be a list of safe woods in the FAQ section. Yep I just looked at your other post. Those perches need to be replaced with natural ones, or at least a greater variety needs to be used and added to what you already have..

I went into a petshop today which had an axolotl with fungus over its spine which had eaten into the flesh. So I asked about it and was pleasantly surprised. She told me that it used to be worse and they had been treating it with Melafix (melachite green) and he is improving quite well. She was very kindly spoken and knew her stuff, so I was quite happy. The wound looked quite old too as in it had been healing for a while.

I got a tetanus shot 2 years ago and it didn't hurt much at all. It just felt like an overexerted muscle.

They have heaps of fun those guys. I've just been rewatching Red Vs Blue for the last few days (while I wait for the budgie forums to fill up lol). It is quite a funny show. They don't have the old episodes on their site any more but they do have them uploaded onto youtube. Here is their channel: Rooster Teeth They only have the first 2 seasons there. You'll have to find the other 3 else where. And their Reconstruction series is set after the Blood Gulch chronicles. Red Vs Blue is a Machinima that uses Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3 as its "stage" as you will. They also do other Machinima like The Strangerhood, which uses The Sims 2.

Haha I have you hooked Jimmy! That's how I started. I now have an account there. They also make videos too. They are famous for Red vs Blue. The funny thing about those comics is that they are pretty close to real life (the characters are real people and half of what they do actually happens).

Why don't you pair up with another person and you could both offer say $125, which would total to $250, that way you would be sure of getting them and you could go halves on the birds. Could you perhaps but the parents and babies in breeder cabinets, when you transport them. I've heard of transferring from logs to breeder cabinets successfully.

Well sometimes when I'm having a bad day, or worrying about something. I come on here and it makes me feel so much better. Everyone is so nice (even when I'm not sometimes ) and everyone loves budgies. You know out of my whole class of 100, no one has budgies! So it is really cool to have a forum where I can talk to other like-minded people about them

Some budgies are just more sexier than other budgies. I have 1 girl budgie that all the boys try to sing to. I have another girl, that has had 3 boyfriends. I have one boy that has no girlfriends and has never had one. He has a plastic budgie for company/fulfilling needs. I had 1 one budgie who had his way with almost all of my girl budgies, because he was a hotty according to them. His son is a dork though.
