Sick Budgie! Help!
I didn't know that about an avian vet at PetsAtHome-how does that work? I've seen the vets place in a PetsAtHome in Parkgate near Southampton, don't know how it works though. Never heard of Spark, anyone know who the manufacturer is?

They Love Herbs!
Yes they're different to us with regards to tastebuds, I think it's a combination of smell and taste, there's another thread on here which discusses it well.

Hip Hip Hooray!
Well done.

They Love Herbs!
I think you'll get the same response as you do with mint, probably a bit too strong for them.

Poor Feather Growth
I use to add it every few days to new seeds, if done everyday I think it gets overpowering for them. I use Northern Parrots as one of my main suppliers so if anyone wants any bits then let me know, I can normally discount the larger items, also I have bits n bobs in my eBay shop.

Great Carrots!
Great idea, remember to wash them. If you cut the top off a carrot which has greens still attached and then place this on a saucer (dish) with water they sometimes grow more.

Le Grass Cafe
I've got some small white plastic pots that can be used for small amounts, this then saves on wastage unless you have lots of birds to eat all the grass which grows in the tub.

Mineral Blocks
I just provide an iodine block and also some cuttlefish bone.

Bird Flu
I'd say it's a question of time before it gets here, once it arrives if I had birds outside I'd bring them in in case the government orders the destruction of animals like they did during the foot n mouth fiasco.

Le Grass Cafe
You should get quite a few batches from one pot. Great stuff.

bird flu
I think they did have a vaccine for birds, but during there recent tests it failed and they now have to go back to try and find another one.

bird flu
Also read an article about how they have found out that bats may have spread Sars and the ebola viruses mainly due to the oriential and african societies drinking their blood. Also bird flu may have been spread from Asia again due to the drinking of duck blood. Why do humans do such stupid and sick things.

Yes I read that the other day, just imagine the consequences if that got out, then mutated with what's already out there.

bird flu
Lets hope it's negative. But I still fear it is just a matter of time before it gets here.

bird flu
Big problems read the following news articles http://www.guardian.co.uk/birdflu/0,14207,1131431,00.html I fear it won't be long before it gets to Germany and then all *** will break out as that's where most of the imports come from, then the UK is sure to get it.

New Strange Behaviour..
Patience and quality time is needed, try leaving the door open for periods of time. Our budgie hates his door closed and complains until we open it, then he doesn't always come out.
