Great Site For Canadians Looking For Bird Foods
I can do Beak Appetit stuff for the UK I'm thinking of selling Manzanita Perches, once I find a decent supplier in the US. Also considering some Xmas toy/treat packs for budgies. I haven't seen any good sites in Australia.

Poor Feather Growth
Thats okay it's a good site, I use to use it before buying trade via wholesalers. The Avimix is a strange powder and they say to sprinkle it on the seeds. Star didn't like it at first as it had a strongish odour so only try a little to start with.

Shavings?
Newspapers, watch out as some of these will have toxic inks and other chemicals in them, so they are not always the best thing to use, especially if being nibbled on etc.

New Babies Part 2
Great pictures, they are getting more cute every time.

Poor Feather Growth
Julie, sounds like good news. I've also heard that changes in the daylight hours can mess up a birds feather cycle. Star's always moulting, have to move to the equator Have you thought of trying Shaws Egg Biscuits (avaliable from high street pet shops), they are like a treat and may help to get the proteins/egg into Budgy2

Poor Feather Growth
Julie, Star's tail sometimes goes like that and frequently changes every few weeks. I don't think Budgy2 has a problem, he could be just lazy but a change in diet and extra exercise may help re-shape the tail.

Sick Budgie! Help!
Keep her warm and away from draughts. It is very important to see a vet ASAP if symptoms return as budgies can go downhill very very quickly. If you have problems finding a vet then just ask and someone will provide details of alternatives.

rspb/bird flu
I just hope it doesn't turn the world against birds, as today's society can react badly to things like this. The outbreak will happen one day, one good thing is today's health care is a lot better and probably not so many humans will die, it's the birds that I would be concerned about.

Budgie Baths
It's a line I want to sell, but don't currently have a supplier for my shop just yet. We use a pirex dish but we get very wet everytime. I have used a clip on one in the past and one of our previous budgies loved it. You may find someone on ebay selling them.

Destroyable toys
Once they get use to seeing the pinata around then try it back in the cage. Also do they like millet, if so next time it's put back in the cage place some millet near it so that they associate it with something good. I must confess that I personally find a piece of Shredders better as the pinatas normally dwarf budgies.

Thing On Chest?
I hope Birdie can be treated, a decent avian vet should be able to advise whether it is a growth or other problem. Thoughts are with you.

Think Before You Introduce Your New Bird Without Quarantine Procedures
Karen thank you for sharing your story, very brave and I feel for you as it's bad enough losing just one bird. I don't know how you coped, a very sad story. Hope you are okay now.

rescued budgies
That's for the explanation. We'll all have to form a new rescue charity mainly for budgies and other birds similiar to the RSPB.
