May 2005's Budgie Of The Month
Here is the May 2005's Budgie Of The Month! Entry Start Date: 1/5/05 Entry End Date: 31/5/05 Sent in by: Emma Rose Location: Western Australia, Australia Discription: The name of the budgie featured in the picture is Coco. She?s 13-years-old (12 in the photo), and is a fairly tame lutino. I?ve had Coco since she was six weeks old (I was 4), and I?ve been told that she?s surpassed a budgie?s ?expected? life span. Coco enjoys making noise; eating basil, dropping matches off the side of the ironing board and then listening to the sound of them hitting the ground; chirping along when I play the piano; sitting on my shoulder, cuttlefish and her swing; playing with her bell, and scaling the cane chairs in our house (she?s an awesome climber)! And the defining factor for why she should be ?budgie of the month?: Firstly, she?s oh so cute, and secondly, do you know of many 12-year-old budgies who will actually willingly ride along on a toy sports car? Coco will! :-D Send email to winner : emmak8rose@hotmail.com Well done Emma, and thanks for sending in your application to us! is it best to breed in breeding cages or
You should never ever breed without breeding boxes. It can lead to all sort of problems.

Eucalyptus leaves
I would say so.

Egg Eaten
This usually means lack of calcium.

Eucalyptus leaves
Adam, is there any specific eucalyt, or is it any type? Cherie Adam, is there any specific eucalyt, or is it any type? Cherie Any type I was told. I do believe that any will be okay. Not sure though.

Eucalyptus leaves
Oh yeah. Very good for budgies. An antiseptic and somtimes a diuretic. I have 2 Eucalyptus Trees out the back.

I think this should be in Don't Do This With Pet Budgies forum. I think it fits in there a bit better :bluebudgie: **Topic Moved**

My Budgies And More!
Yes its mine. Why would I get my pet from someone else? Its not from the aviary either. Its direct from the nest box.
-
wing clipping?
eh, nice topic here! Very interesting points. Ill say this: I hate it and I will never do it. Its up to you to decide what you chose to do with your pet. I would suggest you dont clip.

glowing budgies
That can be arranged, as I work in the theatre business! , mostly lighting department, so I could get powerful UV lights! Wonder what effects that would have to my budgies eyes?? I have no idea. I might not try that then! LOL Dont want blind budgies!

super cage
That wire is what is used in outside cages like mine.
-
i dont think thats supposed to happen
Regardless, you ALWAYS leave your budgie for a few days for it to get used to its surroundings. Dont jump the gun here. Just for you to get an idea, You get put into a room with strange objects. Someone comes up to you puts you in water. You dont have a clue what is going on and where you are. How would you think you would feel?

April 2005's Budgie Of The Month
No, sorry. Only the BOTM will be avalible to members. If we show all, then it really wont be the budgie of the month then. You get to see the best out of all submited that we think. Why would it be for march?? Really? What makes you think that? Its the 31st of March today. Not much point for 1 day is it? If you didnt know, it always changes over on the last day of the month to the next month. My post was about the budgie of the month. I only queried budgie of the month for April as the dates on there state: Entry Start Date: 1/4/05 Entry End Date: 30/4/05 and it cant have happened yet if it is still march - thats all All the entries were submitted in march - just most people will probably see it in April. :book: It was like march 31st 11:30pm. Is it really that big deal? I cant be waiting for 12pm april 1st! It works like this: all entries submitted in March will be chosen from April. All submitted in April will be for the May contest and so on. I Like the other picture I have seen of that bird in the grass as well - something you dont see everyday thats for sure. was also good to see how he turned into such a good looking bird after being so ratty to begin with. I'd like to ask the same question as Budgeover as well.... will we get to see the others? or is everyone who didnt get in this month going to resubmitt the same entries next month. No, you dont get to see the others as mentioned in above reply. All members/guests who submitted this month may submit DIFFERENT images/discriptions to us for next month. Well done. Great image
