I ring my birds at 7-10 days. (so it fits) I usualy buy 50 rings or more, it usualy costs me about $20-$27 or more. Its not very cheap for little metal things, but yeah. :parrot:

As im a registered budgie breeder, I beloning to a budgie breeding club. I have special rings with my name on it. That shows that my budgies are quality pedigree birds and your buying and breeding with confidence. Also if your budgie gets away, and someone finds it, they can ring the club and you can get ur bird back! Its like an ID tag.

no, thats just a natural thing. It happens in MOST bird rooms, but it helps to keep the room clean.

In regard to the leg problem, that happens when rubbish or dirt gets between the leg and the ring and presses on the leg causing it to swell and possibly get infected. The ring must be removed right away or you could loose the leg.

I get my own rings with AK on them, which is my name. Yes, that problem happens alot and is leg threated and could fall off ect but for us in Austraila it is required for the budgie to have it so we can show our birds.
