The Budgerigar Program
I?m one that always uses books and cards for record keeping until I thought, I have an old 166mhz pc that wasn?t in use and there must be good programs out there that completely manage budgie records. To my success I found one rather quickly entitled "The Budgerigar Program" Now, this isn?t a free program, it costs $55.00 US dollars for a new installation, BUT there is a trial version (I?m using it) that will hold up 200 records for free. Plenty for some members here. But if you want more, you will have to pay. Its worth it! It does nest box cards, calculations and all kinds of cool stuff! (also allows you to snap a photo of your bird and enter it with your records if wanted. Some Screenshots: Here Take a look at it at this link and if you want to download the 200 max record trial version (doesnt expire, just alows a max of 200 records of budgies) you can get that here :ygbudgie:

According to what I was just told, yes. I find it hard to imagine though.

Gender confused budgie?
I have just had a chat to a fellow breeder. He says "noone knows, its like people who turn gay. The bird will not breed. The bird has possibly decided to change its gender." There you have it. Ive had this, but never was sure why.

July 2005's Budgie Of The Month
Here is the July 2005's Budgie Of The Month! Entry Start Date: 1/7/05 Entry End Date: 31/7/05 Sent in by: Belinda Pye (Bea) Location: Canberra, Australia Discription: Sometimes you just get an itch that must be scratched. This is Blinkie beautifully showing off his flexibility as he relieves himself of a terrible itch just behind his little budgie ear. Take note of his incredible balance as he: balances on one leg, places his foot behind his wing, scratches like crazy all while sitting on my finger. Talented little thing. It took him many practices as a baby to master this fine budgie art. Send email to winner : bea_p@bigpond.net.au Well done Bea, and thanks for sending in your application to us! There is no warn symbols. All blue means there is none. If they start going red, then there are warnings. Correct, none. You have never recieved any. WOAH hath! This is a real shock to me! I can?t believe that some senseless moron has done this to you! I feel really sorry that somthing like this has happened to a great budgie breeder. Why the *** would someone want to do that?
