I've heard of another few pink/red budgies. (goodness knows if they've been dyed or something though). I'm not sure of the site where they posted it but here are the pictures:

Like I said to JB pulling random photos off the net with no accompanying info is likely to get you misled. I have seen these photos before and the talk that went with it.

Another example of fake pink budgies

I think it is very overious that those birds have been dyed with food colouring.

There are no PINK BUDGIES & never likely to be.

That 'pink budgie' in the last photo looked really pretty.... fake, but pretty. If I had a pink budgie I'd probably hand it over to expert breeders to breed.

No way how can you say that??? You see its become clear to me that no matter how many times we tell people it's impossible to breed a pink budgie, people who know better will say it is SOOO... let them spend their whole life trying, infact, give them hope so they keep at it (because lets face it after 50 years they'll probably want to give up). And guess where they'll find the perfect birds to do it...

...

...

Did you say Petshops??? YES!!!! YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!! The birds you need to breed pink (or red or scarlet or any other shade of red you can think of) are for sale at your local pet shop!!!

Hey Kaz- do you remember a few yrs back there was the 'coloured chickens' on here I think. That had dye injected into the egg and the chicks came out coloured? I reckon that may work - have a crack

so many topics i have seen about pink budgies. if it was naturally geneticly possible yes it would be amazing, but as to my understanding its not. dieing budgies or coulouring their food in order to make them pink is cruel in my opinion, to be honest some people are going way to over board with creating the ultimate budgie, a pink budgie. despite all their efforts and unique ways of trying to acheive this it has not yet been possible. and i hope it wont ever be possible, because if we are to geneticly modify a budgies genectics and such no 'original' budgie will be good enough and eventually be fazed out, as has happened in many other animals. i understand the curiosity of the unknown, and how we ponder on what is possible.but pink budgies are not. this is just my veiw point, i do hope this doesnt offend anyone as that was not my intentions. xx

Apart from red and orange..... when I was eight I had a budgie with orange markings..... from the pet shop that sells pink cockatiels. It was sick and died shortly after. :hooray:

Might have been treated with mercurochrome Ratzy. That leaves orange marked feathers.
