Well guys, to put it bluntly Tammy flew away. So this is how it happened- well my parents *my dad actually* though it was a great idea to put the bird outside because it was getting "warm" anyways tammy ended up outside, she started going a bit feral because i had exams coming up and she was outside so it made it hard for me to keep her tame, plus family was retarted and wouldnt do what i said. I went to my sisters house for a week and well tammy went feral because i wasnt there, she would bite the heck out of me. November 13th 2010- My brother thought it was a good idea to bring tammy inside, but being the idiot he is he thinks she would sit on his hand, reaches inside, she bites him, he pulls his hand out, she flies out onto the washing line. now get this next bit instead of carefully and calmly getting tammy back into the cage he tries to grab her. She flew away on november 13th, sorry i havent been active and haven't told you sooner, i guess all these pictures just remind me of her too much. Tammy you filled a hole in my heart, the day you departed the hole got a whole lot bigger. I hope you are all doing well. One day i will get another budgie once ive moved out but until then .

If you notice budgie behavior, they can be best friends with one budgie one day, and the next day, running that very same budgie off the perch. Four months is still a young budgie. Not sure that you can "train" a budgie in that length of time to do anything, so I doubt that you've been "giving in too much." He may just have that type personality. Are you sure he's a male? It's usually hard to tell until after the first molt. You may have a little hen on your hand. They are sweet, but temperamental. Very! But, I love them to death. you can train a budgie in two weeks two fly to you you just need to know how so yes you can tame a budgie alot in 4 months a very lot with all the techniques*mind gone blank cant spell it* breeders are using these days seems like you can get them tame in under a month it really depends on the bird houman i choose some and others they choose me so its easyer if the bird chooses to be friendly to begin with i got one now i tamed for someone but they never got back to me its a hen she just loves company and always wants to sit on my sholder when i feed everyone else so i take her out cage and let her its her treat i never tryed to tame her she tamed herself So, what's the technique? ask GB she done a darn great job with Tammy.
  8. aww dear, you did the best you could

kaz is right about everything she said and many a bird on the show bentches are flecked i myself wouldnt show one but i defenently wouldnt cull a very good bird for flecked head ' it is something however that if you dont watch can over ride your flock very quickly but flecked birds tend to have good feather does this mean that if you cross breed a well feathered flecked with an opaline the clear headed baby will have better feathers?
  10. no need to rush right?, let a bird be a bird as i keep being told by family
  11. Me too
