  1. Agreed, very nice. Look forward to another photo in 10 days or so.
  2. Sad news, sorry to hear that. At least her progeny will live on for many years.
  3. Again I ask you to answer this Alan.................... You are advocating this to save money..........when frontline is expensive, doesnt keep for the future in the applicator it comes in, and you use two drops as you suggest. My ivermectin is $9 bottle and does a whole flock two or three times over............one drop once only. As scalyface is easily diagnosed and does NOT need a vet for that, if the ivermectin is sold over the counter at an avian vet then how is is saving money to use expensive Frontline in place of a product especially sold to be used for this purpose ? How is yours a cheaper and better method ?? And what would you say or do if someone follows your advice and overdoses a bird ? PS your arrogance and judgmental ways thus far with other members you have not taken the time to get to know, defies logic. Great way to introduce yourself to a forum. Having a bad hair day Alan ? What a bizarre thread! Not really sure what Karl Marx has to do with Frontline. Was he on the ad a long time ago Anyway, I agree with Kaz, Ivermectin (and Moxidectin) are way cheaper than Frontline and have proven effective. Can't see any reason to conduct expensive experiments on my birds.
  4. please im just me im not looking like anyone else me me me i know im not the most feminine looking woman but pink **** think ill have to go back to dark if thats the case pink who next seems i cant have any hair style with out being told i look like someone from the music world or tv cant i just look like me please  You too? You know, I can't count how many times I've been mistaken for Brad Pitt, it's just damn annoying  .............that it never happens  I like the young Cinnamon Sky hen on page 1, she should turn out pretty nice.
  5. Spangle Opaline Dark Green. I don't think she's through the moult yet and the blue will disappear as this happens.
  6. You shouldnt do.......try again I can't see it either, it says I don't have permission. Any chance of reposting with a different link?
  7. No idea, but I have 3 letters on mine in Sth Qld. Others here have 2 and a number or 3. Maybe someone is having a lend of someone.
  8. Catalogue released at this site: http://www.prbs.org.au/files/2010%20draft%20catalogue.pdf
  9. Umm, can I change my mind? Just had another look on my own laptop (not the work one as earlier) and I believe it looks like a GF too.
  10. I can't see any yellowface in the cock bird. Therefore green.
  11. The words "auction" and "stay away" should never appear in the same sentence! I'm lucky that the Pine Rivers auction is the day before my birthday so I can use the "birthday present' excuse to find a way to bring home another piece of the jigsaw.
  12. Yep, we usually kick off at 7:30PM. As far as I know we have Keith and Carol with their National 2010 presentation tonight. I'll be sure to day gidday as I'll be the one taking your membership money! Edit: I think I just worked out who you are. See you tonight.
  13. Pine Rivers catalogue should go onto website this weekend together with some pictures. Hard copy is available if anyone wants one mailed out. Sorry, should have been on website sooner but this has been a busy week for me Thanks Jean, look forward to it. I'm struggling to keep our club website up to date too, just can't find the time these days.
  14. I like the little guy in your avatar. It almost looks like he has a handlebar moustache!
  15. Not that there's anything wrong with that, lol!
  16. Has anyone found the online catalogue for this auction yet cos I'm stuffed if I can? I believe it's in print, but as of today it's not on the Pine Rivers site.
  17. Very nice splat. The two things that stand out to me is how solid they all are and their brow.
  18. I like the Spangle Sky hen the best of those 3. I think she will turn out to be very handy with that feather and shoulder.
  19. A bit off topic here but you prodded my memory with the suggestion of combining birds when 2 breeders form a relationship. It has happened before! Back in the 70's THE leading breeders in Victoria were Audrey and Dave Bassett. Before they met they were successful breeders in their own right. However, after they married they combined their studs. Their birds clicked perfectly and A&D Bassett became the top breeders of their time. Probably only Clearwing on this forum would remember them and this story.
  20. Another good thread. If the Sky/LW cock disappears in the next week, don't bother looking for me; we'll be in a hideaway deep in the Amazon jungle!
  21. I reckon boy. Not as straightforward as the bird in other thread though.
  22. Thanks for that post nubbly, fantastic. Really shows the difference between the LW and Op LW and beautifully illustrates how the normal LW can have the better markings. Nice birds by the way.
