okay my La Grass Cafe has arrived this morning, Ive planted my seeds and its sitting on the window sill in the sunshine - wish it was quicker than 4-5 days though hehe!

Yeah and I guess its a girl thing too eh hehehe. Im sure I can put up with it because I love her being a baby she is just too cute!

Yeah thanks Eterri unfortunately the small quarantine cage she is in doesnt have a grill its was Pattys first ever cage. I will give the newspaper another try she will probably grow out of it eventually and in 3 more weeks she will hopefully be able to join another birdie in one of the other cages and her boredom will be over so maybe then she will stop eh?

Im at a bit of a loss as to what to use on Tobis cage at the moment Ive some spare sandpaper sheets that fit but she is ripping them up and am scared she is eating it, so I put in newspaper she also ripped that up and Im scared of what the ink might do, sooooooo I used paper towel she decided to pull it all up and sit underneath it hehe. I guess I might try A4 white paper and cut it down to size, dont know what else to try other than nothing but she has a habit of climbing upside down on the top of the cage and falling right to the floor so really I need something to stop her hurting herself on the plastic floor. As you can see Ive got a little tinker of a girlie here hehe!

No way I'll eat it myself if they wont at ?3.99 a tub hehehe - it actually looks quite nice doesnt it? Hope it arrives soon.

Wow Anne what a good idea and if they dont eat it then I will myself I LOVE tomato sauce - Heinz of course hehe! Right Ive now just now ordered Beak Appetit Cream of Tweet, sounds quite yummy actually and you can cook it in the microwave only thing is you have to cook it all at once and it only lasts in the fridge for 5 days and it makes over a lb of food. Have you tried this one Rainbow?

Oh fantastic Rainbow - I think i will probably have to cut some off and clip it in the cage that big pot will scare them I think. You will have to let me know hwo the veggie stuff goes if you get some success I may try ordering some of that if I can get hold of it.

Ive just been scanning the Avian Vets list in the hope they have opened one in my area and I couldnt believe it - the post I made a few weeks ago about me taking the birdies to that normal vets that had a guy who specialised in birds. Well the surgery has now been placed on the Avian Vets list - isnt that great - I did think they guy was pretty good. http://www.birdcareco.com/English/Avian_vets/avian_vets.html, in the North/East Yorkshire section.

Some things are bargains, others are not Ive spent pounds on that site - but thats all Andys fault he made me do it hehe!

Rainbow do you feed them the grass like Andy posted the one you grow yourself - Ive just ordered a couple of pots to give it a go. What are the veggies like in the pots I would like to try as many different things as possible!

The first one for sure Anne - I think its a better looking cage all round and seems to have way more room - if I was you I would get that one. Hope that helps!

Aww how cute Im hoping Tobi might be tame for a few weeks until he meets the others - tonight will be the test.

Yeah thats true he would be lethargic and sleepy and if he isnt I guess thats a good sign and once he starts gobbling and drinking he should buil back up pretty quickly. Keep us posted wont you?

I dont know its entirely up to you whatever makes you feel at peace for him - Im glad he is acting normal though just keep a good eye on him.

I dont know Ive never had anything like this happen. I guess if its dried though and there is no fresh blood maybe you dont have to take him - how about you make the appointment for this afternoon anyways and you can always cancel it later if things seem okay eh?

Seems like he is bearing up. I would still get him checked over if only for the amount of blood he appeared to have lost. Big brave Kiwi!

Thats pretty thick so looks like thats the cause hopefully then now its come away the bleeding will stop and it will heal up. Have you decided whether to take him along to the vets or not?

Seems a mystery doesnt it. Piggy Kiwi it must have tasted really good, lets hope he doesnt bash himself anymore so he gets corn starch applied hehe. Seriously though let us know how he bears up.
