I have had this hen for about 4 months. After i brought her home (from pet shop) i noticed she had no flight feathers. I assumed her wings were clipped and they'd grow back.As an absolute beginner i didn't know any better. A couple of months later some feathers had grown back but always fell out straight away. Did some research and thought it could be french moult. Tail feathers are fine. So now i have notice she is flying around her cage okay, one wing good, other wing a bit dodgy. I thought i'd see how she'd go having a fly around in the spare aviary. After a few minutes i noticed blood on her wings. Has she got french moult? What should i do?

Sounds like its lovely weather in the UK Weather has been pretty nice over here the last couple of days. Sunny 15c during day and has dropped to 1c overnight. I live close to the ocean so we get some good winds too. My mother in law and brother in law are off to the UK next friday.

Yes, YF mutation 2. I'm guessing. Yes, I think so as well.....but is it single factor or double factor? I have no idea. Best wait for an answer from the experts.

Thank you for the good advice. My problem is finding a club that will have me. okay i already live over an hour from the nearest club, NO NEW MEMBERS!! okay second nearest doesn't even exist anymore. So the club that does welcome new members is about 4 hours away. Maybe i should quit while i'm ahead.
