Fireworks
The fireworks have been and gone my boys and I were on the back veranda when they went bang and they were very loud and very bright from our place. The birds handled it very well with not even a murmur coming from the aviary which really surprised me considering all the huge bangs Thanks for all the advice.

My aviary is fully covered with a night light so hopefully it will be okay. I will report back on this subject after the fireworks and let you know how they went.

Flecking
if their hens breed with the cleanest cap cock not split to opaline and then all the cocks should come out with none flecked gen then breed these cocks to clean headed opaline to get none flecked opaline hens so i have been toldThank you, are any birds expectable with flecking at shows? So would this bird be no good for showing or breeding?

Flecking
As I build my show bird stud I'm becoming a little confused with the term flecking. I have a couple of birds with some flecking through there head and after reading some info on this, it seems that flecking is becoming a no no in a show bird? I have a Spangle Opaline Grey with some and a Spangle with a little, should I still breed with these birds or try and get rid of any birds with flecking? Cheers

Fireworks
We have the Caloundra show on this weekend which is held up here in Maleny. On Saturday night they will be having fireworks, should I be worried about the noise when they go off at 8pm? I don't live far from the show grounds where the show is held. I don't wont my birds going crazy in the aviary and hurting them selfs. Thanks Geoff

Jetrick's Breeding Journal
Thats no good but I guess breeding is all about the ups and downs, isn't strange for a cock bird to kill a hen? usually it's the hen doing the damage.

The Fight Continues
id put in seperate cages next to eachother the feather lose is most likley stress related but as i cant see i dont know I agree differently separate as soon as possible.
