  3. I thought one or more parent had to be spangle? And the tails are white or yellow?
  4. True.. I'll see what everyone else has to say.
  5. WOW! Huh, my first time breeding.
  6. Great! Hope it isn't reccessive else I may have some trouble breeding. I wonder if Skye and Marigold will have another green tail? I may have to keep it, was going to sell it. Is there a breeder near me who would like him?
  7. Just realised I did the same post twice in a row.
  8. Looks a bit like Skye does when I change his food.
  9. Any updates?
  10. With the food I tried putting gum branches in and once they started to eat it I hid carrot tops inside the leaves, hey, strange I know but it worked. Once they did that I put it in their food dish and they ate. Over time I added other stuff to their diet. Mine aren't a big fan of carrot, but they absolutely LOVE sweet corn. So give that a try.
  11. Awwwww sad. They could have at least sent you a copy to remember him by. In the photo he looks like a she. Is that hormonal problems?
  12. You could weigh it down with something. I have heard horror stories about lifting up the door and a chicks head pokes out and gets strangled when the door comes down.

    Hi there!
  14. Are the lutinos a different colour to the others? I have only had one clutch so I can't tell you much.
  15. I've been told that cinnamon can be carried by males but not females so maybe it's cinnamon and he's split.
  16. That's better!
  17. What do you need help with? If you're breeding coloney style, which I would not advise, you'll have to remove the extra bird. Read up on the FAQ's as they are really useful. I can help a bit, but as I'm only a beginner you're probably better off asking for help from some of the more experianced breeders. If you have removed them into cabinets well done! Hope I can help.
  18. Ant?
  19. How did she go blind? Poor thing, but she'll have a lovely home.
  20. Wecome! Have you removed the extra hen/cock?
  21. More pics tomorrow.
  22. Not sure why he might lift the door up... could he be trying to get in?
  23. I did it at when the youngest is about 2 weeks. Then they start to get really messy. Take the chicks out in a bowl lined with tissues where the parents can see them. Then do the cleaning.
  24. How did I get a blue baby then JB? Marigold is split blue.
