  1. I can manage that... I'll convert a older breeding cabinet to a holding cage just for her... So she will still be near the others and feel safe...
  2. Oh no Karen... Poor girl... I'll have her Karen if she needs a good home...
  3. Thanks Karen... Uploading photos now... will send to you first to double check me... LoL...
  4. Well, last night after reading this post and talking with Karen I have come up with a example of a leaflet for store use only... Just need to add some final pictures than will send it to Karen for her pointers before posting it here for all to see... This was something I wanted to do and it is only a draft and something I created myself on my PC, someone out there could easily make something better... Hoping to put online soon...
  5. This is just one example of a candle egg... This was my first one, purchased off EBay for $10.00 and I had it for almost 10yrs...
  6. That is a great idea Karen... We could even do display at these shops... Bring certain budgies, educate buyers and seller... Ex, how to tell sex, if adult or young, pet shop or Show budgies... Just the simple basic... I love the certifacte idea Karen... So buyer know that it is supported by the show breeders... In return we could display our clubs and when meetings are held, etc... We should make a club, have our own ID's, info with us when doing inspection etc... We can even do fundraises to help us buy our equipment, like treatments we can use on sick birds when out and about, etc... Thumbs up Karen... You really are a star...
  7. There's one or two have peaked my interest Only one or two... hee hee Just a few more for me... Really like some of the crests and Albino's... Finding them hard to get... Even some of the Greys and Lutinos are looking good too... Ohhh, so many how does one pick...
  8. Yeah, finally got to look at the catalogue... Some very good looking budgies in there...
  9. Some very nice birds in there... Would love to have some of them in my aviary...
  10. Don't be sorry Nubbly... I didn't know it was you... LoL... I just wanted to know what they all mean... Being a novice at this all... hee hee
  11. best novice adult would work, as it was the light green adult cock... hmmm
  12. Oh... I think I just worked out one of those things written on my show cage label... RBN = reserve best novice...? correct me if wrong... But still no idea on 'BNA'... *waits for Nubbly to tell her what they mean*...
  13. I love the grey spangle... Very proud looking bird on the perch there...
  14. Hee hee I wish Dave... No things guys are purchased (my starting up stock, first time breeding show budgies), their part of my little gang here... They'll used as breeding or for shows... Two are too little to use as breeding they wont breed till next year... Hope this helps Dave... But i take no credit for breeding things guys, only credit I take is that they are part of my family...
  15. Finally got photo's uploaded... Normal Light Green Cock... Normal Grey Cock... Albino Hen... Cinnamon Opaline Light Green Cock... Hey, Nubbly... On the one of the labels I had on my cage has got 'BNA RBN' written on it...? Could you tell me what that means...
  16. I just love all the Grey's Nubbly... Your team is coming along so well...
  17. Thanks guys... thank you so much... :nest: ... Where were you Amy...? Hey you going to Cec Gearing Aviary touring??? It would be good for you as we are just starting out... :budgiedance:
  18. Shhh Gina... Geez, give away my secret tip to all... :hooray: P.S. I transfer tonight, hey...? hee hee Thanks Karen, it sure is... Just so encouraging to see them do well and just gives you that boost of encouragement again when your down on your luck... Gina, I didnt think he was going to do so well to be honest... I knew he had some good points about him, the reason why I got him but I honestly thought he wouldnt get a first place... I was so surprised about his placing... Thanks Gina, I'm glad you like him... I was thinking of using him (when he older) in my light green line... But that wouldnt be till next year... Plus he is from Hans so he is most likely from his Light green line somewhere... I was happy with my Normal Grey mostly though, I would like to get into them and use them in a Albino line... One day... See what happens... Oh and Fallows too... My first fallow baby hatch yesterday too... Yippeee...!
  19. Hiya All, This is my first year of showing budgies so I'm just a Novice and today was my first time at showing budgies... Only took four but they all did very well... :hooray: None of them I have bred but it just shows me that I do have good stock birds... A young Cinnamon Opaline Light Green Male, 1st place Novice in Cinnamon Opaline class young... Also got best in colour overall too.. A adult Albino Hen, 1st place Novice in Albino class adult... A adult Normal Light Green Male, 1st place Novice in Normal Green class adult... Also got best in colour overall too... A young Normal Grey Male, 1st place Novice in Normal Grey class young... Also got best in colour overall too... I also got reserve best Novice grade too... So overall I think it was a good day for me and my small team today... Sorry have no photo's yet... Well try for you all tomorrow... Hope everyone had a good day today even if you weren't at the meeting...
  20. That is the one Karen, geez you are good... No Amy it makes you old...er...! Hugs...
  21. Okay, I think age is catching up with me today but I'm looking for a page which had info and pictures of budgie feathers on it, buff, medium, fine. http://www.budgerigars.co.uk/genetics/kellatt.html Some of the pictures on this site are on the one I am looking for but do you think I can find it... No... I think it loads as a Adobe file that loads up, PDF file... If anyone could help this lost old lady, me, that would be great... LoL...
  22. Thanks guys... It was a nice relaxing day... No Karen no budgie money... hee hee
  23. The D cups went in at the beginning of the show... The photos some were taken before judging, I only got photos of the judges while they were judging and I got all the budgie photos after they judged...You are very welcome splat... Was more than happy to get some snaps for you all... I like photos just not of me... :budgiedance: hee hee i would say macka that the d cups would have been placed in after the placings and judging was finalized as you are not permitted to take pics till then i didnt however know you could put paper on bottom we have a seed filled bottom cage and it must be of a certain mix im not sure what yet but its not aloud to be just any seed think it must be your clubs seed i think also from what i have experianced we do not gather the birds around near where awards are taking place all birds just stay where they are exept a few are moved that are best in show extra but still not near the awards you have to look at birds before awards start to see the champions extrathanks for pics guys i took some from the uniteds show on sunday but not near as many or as good Macka the Dcups will be soon required by all to have in their cages I think it becomes offical in 2011, someone will correct me if wrong anyways...I think WA has to have a standard budgerigar breeding mix, if I remember Cec talk the other day at the MBC...The birds gather behind the judges at the awards were all the big winners, best in show, best opp sex, best novice, etc that is what I gather from what others were saying... Again I'm sure if someone will correct me if wrong... :)Thanks GB... I'm sure your photos are good too...
  24. It wasn't a problem Nubbly... I was very glad to help out and see how these bigger shows happen... It was just mind blowing to see the amount of people there and the support everyone gave... I even got asked to join the SWBC club... hee hee... Not just yet... One is enough for now...
  25. Thanks Kaz... Had to do something... Had no paperwork left... hee hee
