  4. Yup, I know that but I realised I havent check her for eggbound ness ( lol I know it isn't a word!).
  5. Well I am 99% she is, but she is still only about 11 months. When I breed her I have her with a Grey Green Cinnamon/ Rec. Pied cock, so we sill see :rip:
  6. I will have to check (It's nightime :rip: ) Darn! She may be eggbound... I am so stupid!
  7. Um no, that hen is Rec. Pied. Sorry to disagree, but the breeder I got her from (incredibly experienced) bred her and knows her lineage. She also has no iris rings.
  8. Hi guys! I have a feeing I have a barren hen :rip: *frown* The pair have been down since March the 8th. The hen and cock are in perfect condition. She is a lovely hen, and very healthy. She has been nesting, and the pair have been mating regulary from about 2-3weeks ago. They are both red rings. The hen is from Victioria, as a lovley soul in our club has taken care of me with a good dozen + birds from around VIC,WA and NSW. Any help would be appreciated! Squeak.!
  9. Thankyou Kaz! I am still waiting for eggs from the lute and TCB! I am starting to think the hen is barren... *sigh*

  14. That is great! But it has its downside also. You do win every contest but, I feel like there is no meaning to it kind of. Like, When I normally win somehting I feel achivement from practice, and the race etc. But when you get it because your bird is the only one there, it feels different.
  15. Thankyou! Like I said, Tiny, but his siblings have won Best Birds in show

  18. ( Maybe a Moderator should move this thread to Show Budgies) Your questions is really complex and quite hard to answer. The ideal bird has a nice big head, wings that just touch with flights that are long, but not to long , a nice mask, and is large. You can get these birds by breeding a bird with eg. droopy, heavy wings to a tight winged. This will then get you wings around the middle. As for mutations to breed, it doesn't really mater what colours you put to what colours, but there are some colours that aren't good to breed eg. YF Clearbodies, Cinnamon Pieds *I think..* and a couple others. Breeding show budgies is INCREDIBLY expensive. I have spent up to $500 on seed, cages, and birds. If not more (Guilty.. ). You need lots of space. Being a junior (which I am myslef) It doesnt matter what birds you show really, because unless you have other juniors in your area, you will always win until you become a novice. Hopefully some other members will be able to help you. Good Luck. P.S You also need Parental support... ( I have about half and half) and I find it difficult sometimes ot get to shows, or meetings. :hap:
  19. Thanks Liv!

  24. okay, Well the chances are you have a DF Spangle. Does he have any green on him? Like maybe on the back of his head? If he is a pied he would be a Dom. Pied.
  25. A male Lutino should have a Pink or purple cere. Hen should have brown. If your "lutino" has a blue cere, he may be a pied , check him for any green, or he may be a double factor spangle. Check the eyes again, because they will not be red unless he is a Lutino
