Anyone knows where I can get some breeding cabinets? I've been looking all over even on ebay but I can't find any and some good sites where they sell them don't ship to the USA.. I really want breeding cabinets instead of cages.. Anyone knows a good site that ships to the USA? Same goes for nest boxes.. Thanks, -Corina

Thanks Dean_NZ Now I'm more confused than ever! So.. Sonny and Nixie are goldenfaces. I don't know Cielito's parents.. but she's been through so many moults already and the yellow never bleeds into the blue (I don't know if that helps). I'm confused about Sonny and Nixie's true colors.. some say skyblue some violet and some cobalt. Well Sonny is a very dark blue especially on his back it almost looks like royal blue even darker than some cobalts I've seen. Nixie's color is also dark.. I would say its much like Cielito's. I've seen alot of pictures of goldenface skyblues and she is darker but she is not as dark as the goldenface cobalts I've seen. and.. Zu-Zu is a spangle?! I'm in shock here.. is he really? Because that would be great All the pictures are very accurate.

Thanks for the replies I tried to provide pictures with flash and without flash. I couldn't find any pictures without flash for Cielito.. but all the pics are very accurate. What would be the Australian Yellowface? Never heard of it.. or is it the same as goldenface? They do have a purple tinge around their necks.. especially Nixie.

I know I've asked this question before but I always get mixed answers so I end up in the same spot. I'd like to know the exact mutations of two of my hens and one of my cocks. 1. Cielito - Is she a Yellowface type 1 or type 2? The yellow doesn't bleed into her blue feathers but she has it all over. She is 11 months old. - Is she a Skyblue Violet? I know she is not a skyblue and she is not as dark as a cobalt. Cielito Cielito and Sonny (cobalt) For Comparison: One of my Skyblues Zu-Zu. 2. Nixie - Is she a Yellowface type 2 or a Goldenface? Her yellow is brighter than Cielito's and almost as bright as Sonny's. - Does she have a violet factor? I'm terrible identifying violets. Nixie is 7 months old. Nixie and Sonny 3. Thank You I use a Kodak EasyShare V1253 (I used it for all those pics) but it malfunctions all the time so when I can't get it to work I use my uncle's Canon PowerShot A460. They are both point and shoot cameras but I prefer the Kodak :sadsorry: I wish I had an SLR..................................... Nixie and Cielito are very photogenic too, that helps! -Corina

This is Kenji. My newest and last addition to my flock. I'm not sure if he is a DEC or a DF Spangle but most likely he is a DF Spangle right? I'm hoping he is a spangle :rofl: He is still very young and I don't see any irises yet.. I'll have to wait and see. Any ideas on how old he is? Without the baby bars I'm a little lost. -Corina

Hey. Its been a while since I last posted but I'm always here looking around. Anyways.. I got a new addition to my flock yesterday. He is doing great today. Already eating and playing around. He loves it when I talk to him and he likes to hear the rest of the flock call him from the other room. Currently in quarantine. I'm not sure about his mutation. Thanks Jasper did have very light markings but now after he moulted his markings are black and he is looking more skyblue. Okay this is what I thought: Sonny-Nixie Oliver-Fiona Louie-Snowflake Jasper-Sky (to get some cute blue yellowfaces) This is how they(budgies) paired up by themselves: Louie-Snowflake Oliver-Nixie Sonny-Fiona Jasper-Sky I will let them breed with their bonded partners for the first season Sorry but Nixie is off limits!
