Well I just looked up the coloured bands for my area and green is for next year But bars to the cere means a young bird.

The others sound right to me too As to the babies all but the dilute ones are possible but grey is a dominant gene and yellowface is dominant over whiteface blue, dilute is recessive and needs two gene to show up (one form both parents) and it would one happen if Issy is split for dilute, which if cuase is possible when you don't know the history of the bird.

It could do, if the cere is a pink and smooth looking then that would mean male, if the cere is a pale blue or turning paler all over then you might have a female. Is there any chance of a picture that would help us tell you plus we love seeing everones birdie. If you got 'him' from the breeder they are normally good at telling the gender of babies, but of cuase are not always correct.

Creamino is a yellowface albino. To get an albino you need the ino gene and a blue gene, yellowface is a type of blue gene that doesn't full remove the yellow from the bird when matched to the ino gene leaves a cream or mellow yellow hue over the bird.

yes they can but males need two gene to be opaline while female only one. Juli here is female becuase one her dad has the gene to past one (one to each chick) If both the mother and farther have opaline in there genes (either opaline themself or the dad carrying it) you will get an opaline males.

No a type one yellowfaced pied has white on the body like a white faced pied does. There is a member with one around I will see if I can get the link for you. graeme - the dad was hurting the newly hatched babies and at that point only mum is feeding, when left for the whole time she can and will continue feeding until they are weaned. If you let her sit on the egg make sure they are addled (shake them so the yolk breaks inside) that way nothing will hatch. I didn't think it was possible but hath read in the later budgie mag that one hen had fertile egg in the second round after not having a male with her since the start of the first lot. I think once the young one is out of the box a lot you can safely remove it, since without contact to the male and the lost of a nest site should stop her.

Ceaser is a Yellowface type 2 sky blue dominant pied (or goldenface) Petrie is a sky blue recessive pied Jake is a normal blue Elwood is a cobalt greywing Houdini is harder to pick, he could be a clearwing or a poor dilute his body feathers seem diluted enough but his wings are not that pale.

Here are some pictures for you all : I candled egg 3 today since I had already bothered her off the eggs and didn't find number 5. I know it's a day early again daz, but she had been sititng tightly on these eggs since the start. I was shocked to see yet again fine red lines in this one too, I candled this one two days back with the others so I could see the difference while it was clear but now I know it too it fertile :ausb: So far that is three out of four. quick update- egg 5 is here.

All the female will be opaline. Even beeing ressive and cobalts. -yellow faced blue type II(Chicos dad was one) Yes you will get these, most of the babies will be yellowfaces -Normal green (yellow faced blue is almost like a normal)No, yellow face might look like greens but it is a blue lined bird. -lutino or alibino (the birds are mostly white or yellow) only if your male is split for it, then the ones that are will be female, but this not mot all of the famles will be ino, since dad has one normal gene to give as well as one ino gene. Do you think he might carry the gene?. -Skyeblues or normal white faced blues (white or yellow faced)yes there is a chance of white faces, since Chico is only a single factor yellowface. Meaning he is carrying a white face gene as well -And sorry you said possibly violets???..how do i know if the hen carries both violet genes? you don't really, but i think when they are a strong violet it means they are double factor. But I could be totally wrong there

I'm now with the programe I missed this post before Well that site give this statement: "The yellowface type I variety has a bright yellow face but the yellow does not affect the body color or appear in the wing feathers." I've never thought about that before, I just believe yellowfaces are the same as any other type (bar opaline) that have the same coloured wing edges as the head colour.

Yes I think female too with the pictures but if their are talking about pink and purple is it our sceen that make it seem brown?
