How Do You Tell Whether Your Budgie Is Pregnant Or Not?
large poos and digging around in a nest box are big signs that an egg will appear sometime soon. Tootie started with big poos roughly 5 days before her first egg.

Is My Budgie Strssed Out?
Sorry I didn't see this thread before, but it sounds like he has settled down and back to his normal self which is good to hear. Your doing a wonderful job in help both the lady nad her friend. I can understand the fear with getting hurt if that happened to the first. How old is this budgie?? If he is around the 6-12 month age the change of behaviour could have also been becuase of hormones. Also if he is an older a bird a trip out of the cage (his home and safely blanket) will be stressful, so if you wish to continue for out of cage time with the lady keep in mind to start slow. Also you could try for 'free fly time' on a small room, bathroom or bedroom and see if the owner can accept that. Thank you also for the update.

Please Look At This Pic And Tell Me What Is Wrong With This Chick
No this isn't normal, the poor little thing. I suggest you make an appointment with your avain vet to get him and the family checked. The first that comes to mind is Beak and Feather disease.

Is He Old Enough?
ahh a black tail feather and a grey-blue cheek patch are signs of a grey-green. In this case 50% of the babies will get the green gene and appear like a normal green and the other 50% will get the grey gene matched with mums green gene they will look like dad. He also looks opaline, the body colour on the wings, which means his daughters will be opaline as well.
