Nail Trimming
Be very careful. If you have the right perches you don't need to worry about the nails. There is blood vessels in the nails and if you cut one too short it will bleed. Loss of blood is not good for the budgies.

Glum Budgie
Was the vet an aviarian or just the run of the mil vet? Oh and welcome to the forum. Now the bad news. Keep an eye on your first bird. It sounded like you did quarentine them when you first got him. This means that he could have past on to your other bird what he now has. I hope all goes well for you. If the vet you saw wasn't an avian, I would try to fnd one quick.

We Have A Baby!
no it's empty. Is this her first clutch? The mum may be a bit confused. Try some egg and biscuit really diluted with skim milk. and I mean really diluted. Dipp your fingur in and let a drop fall on his beak. give him about 3 to 4 dropps. It will give him some strength to call and excite his mum into feeding him. Let us know how you go.

My Budgie Goes For My Lips And Eye Lids
He is being a baby budgie. Welcome to your training. If it was your fingure we would suggest you let him bit, but not the tender areas. Don't worry he is about 3 months old and will go through his feral state in about a month. That is the time that you want to ring his neck..... :budgiedance: . Just remember the butterfly. Let him has his fun but when he comes to you, speak quietly and asure him him that you love him. Don't force youself on him but be around and speak to him. He will come around. :ausb:

Time Between Breeding?
can you quarentine them together (the breeding pair)i meen If you buy them from the same breeder or from the same cage in a pet store. You can keep them together in quarentine. give them a weeks rest at you place to get aquanted with the new suroundings before you try breeding. Oh and read up on breeding before you start. it really isn't that easy. things go wrong. Here is a realy good place to start.

How Many Eggs Will Hatch?
yes and no. You could have all eggs hatch or none. Is this the first clutch? If so you may get 3 to 5 eggs hatch. You may get none. If this is not her first clutch what was the pass % rate? Have you breed her with the same partner? If so what was the success rate of the previous clutches. As you can see, we can't give you a direct answer. But that is what breeding is like.

Time Between Breeding?
Remember to quarentine them from your other birds. 30 to 45 days.

Calcium/cement Perches
Lani he is probibly right. You see most metal threads. or threaded rods are metal. (Steel) Steel rusts so there are a number of treatments to stop the rust. Painting, using zinc oxide or lead cadmium. or to process it as stainless steel. If the manufacture of the item believes that the calcium or cement incasing the rod would stop the rust, then it is untreated.. metal. This is quite safe for the birds until it rusts. Rusting occurs when bare metal hits air (oxygen). So the rod itself is safe until the birds gets to it and then it becomes unsafe. ...........or there is a fault in the casting and the air is allowed to access the rod. It would then rust from the inside out. Bad news to polly.

Baby Shots.
Nerwen you got me all excited.. Duey is a recessed phynotype. But really can only guess at his genetic make up. Greeny could be carrying some hinden pied genes...

Clipped Wings
The new flight feathers wont come until the next molt or even the next. I clip only the first 4 flight feathers of my indoor budgies once only. For example when Chirpy was brought into the house, I clipped to stop him hirting himself and to calm him down. (Safety) He could still fly from cage to Gym. approximately 2 meters. When he grows his new flight feathers, they will stay. He will have learnt slowly where he can and can't fly. George and Angel have all there flight feathers and enjoy flying around the rooms. I don't believe that there wings should stay clipped.
