Do you have a little flower symbol on your camera? If you put it on this setting it is great for close ups. Also make sure you have good lighting and no flash. Hope this helps!

Safe Paint For Aviary.
I managed to obtain the Aviary that my rescued Cockatiel and Budgie were in. It is in need of serious renovation! Firstly I have washed it and scrubbed it with bleach. I am wanting to paint the exterior, is any exterior paint o.k?

Taking In Unwanted Budgies
Hi there, I recently rescued a cockatiel and a budgie, they were very skittish at first and still are quite a bit, they didn't get much human attention for a few months. They are slowly coming around, it has been about two weeks but whenever they freak out I cover them with a blanket, I put it on slowly so as not to scare them. I bought some vitamins (about $8 they will last a while with only two) for them from the pet shop and I just put it in their water, they already look so much better. The cockatiel was so malnourished that his crest is swept back. It is lucky they have each other like mine did and lucky they have you! Welcome to the forum, I have been welcomed here with open arms as you have! Trish.

T.c.b. And Albino Together To Breed.
Yay! I'm glad I have someting right! I thought it better to outlay a bit extra on bigger cages in the beginning after reading the bonuses on here. I will fix it all tomorrow, can't expect to have it all right at once! Again wonderful advice on here as always!

T.c.b. And Albino Together To Breed.
I was going by what I saw on here when designing and tried to follow what Kaz had done (see below) to try and adapt as best I could with mine. The hole for entering is actually a bit higher but now looking at Kaz's I see that she has in fact turned the fronts upside down! Arghhhhhh :bump: I thought I had it all sussed and now I have to hassle hubby again and the poor budgies! The ispection area for checking the chicks is it a sliding lid or sliding back or a door? Do you have a picture of this area. I am building one with Dave (my husband) later just want to give him a good desigh. I will post pics when I am done. Thanks Kaz for your help. The top section of door slides upwards.

New Cage
I'd say as long as the flight area and the area at the bottom is o.k. then go for it, personally I don't know how you waited so long, I am so impulsive it would be in my house already!! Better wait for all the expert opinions, though as I am new and they might know something that I dont? Cheers and good luck, Trish.
