  3. jimmy this place would be sad with out you i missed you when you didnt input oh and black doc jimmy have a very knowledgeable experience which caused his birds deaths it was not due to him i actually feel like he got the raw end of the stick 'his birds were very lovely and jimmy im more than happy to help u when you get back your swing k
  4. Glad you could see it GB and you are correct Anyway, here are a few more pics that hopefully will show the markings better - except once again, the pics are poor quality due to only having a phone to take them with but I believe you can see the white under the grey chest colour near the legs and you can see the dom pied spot better. it seems to me its also mauve but that could be the screen playing tricks on me id be stoked with a dom pied chick like that well done
  5. lol thats ace a vertral flock mmm maybe i could sell out and still breed good birds and not have to clean or feed them mm sounds good to me ha ha ha okay well my thoughts are i think not enough breeders are given recognition for helping out beginners when i first started i had the wonderful support of mr j rowe and his brothers (rowe bros i got very good birds for very good prices and all have done me well i was even gifted a grey normal / nothing to help me with my albinos ,i then met mr borg and mr skivington whom also helped me out with some lovely birds for very cheep i think i payed 70 for around 7 birds ive had great support from gina house with great birds at great prices and gary armstrong their in different state kaz has supported me many times and just recently again but when i first began she sent me for free for my birthday 4 very handy birds all of whom three people i talk to regularly for advice or suggestions just today i had someone come over to see how my programs is going a bit of support and a bit of a mentor and to ask me what the *** did i think when i payed 50 for that bird and that one and that one and .... lol i thought i needed hens was my answer lol also helped me cull a few birds and realize that i dont need to buy more lol (i think hes said this about 10 times now ) and then he even just spur of the moment helped me by building a frame and fitting it onto my sky light and covering it with double layer of shade cloth its something i really wanted for a while and as hes alot taller than me he could really feel the heat of the sun through it so if thats not helping a beginner i dont know what is it took him like maybe half hour and most probably save me losing chicks and birds from heat while i wait for my windows to be installed ive also had running suport from colin Flanagan via email and a nother person whom ill also keep un named out of these people most are not in my club yet still very happy to help me and support me i think all of these people have gifted me birds some where along the line and all these birds have been useful and very nice yes i got hussled at the start by a few people but i simply dont deal with them anymore you do not need to pay big money for big name birds you just need to hunt around or ask others if they know others whom may have what you need you also need to be very choosie and stick to your comphet price auctions are fun they are where you meet the big boys and then contact them on your own bat latter theirs always someone with something worth it and cheep yes their are some whom only sell through auction but i think you will find that if you approached some of these people youd be suprized by the responce you would recive ... i know i was and i was also s.. hitting myself too but you know what im glad i did as i have a great few supporters now and a grat little flock i may never get a name but i know what my birds are worth and i know also when to help others as ive been helpped i think more credit to the more established breeders is needed as not commending them that is how the hobby will die birds are not cheep and its not the bird bit that cost the most its everything else to maintain them oh just to say clearwing also pointed me in the right direction when i was lossing birds and his helpful info helpped me on my way to solving my issues thank you mate i say auctions are what you make them and a chance to see quality others are after
  6. yep chemist it last for ever and even survives the washing machine
  7. yea pinkys yea pinkys drops of water lol okay it worked though lol m i did say moist breath lol congrads baby
  8. i know what they are hiding the albino masks spangle skyblue and if its the df spangle i think he masks mauve and pied and spangle or just mauve and spangle pics would help me verify this and the yfi it could be a spangle or a norm/cin depending on what cock she put up pics mate i could tell you exactly what your out comes would be positively
  9. you maniac jimmy their beautiful mate i love love love the opaline green chick stumpy feed full and fat and great feather
  10. yes thats true you can get spangle spot pieds whom are not pied at all but you can see white near leg so maybe theirs a band hiding on his belly ???? whom really knows in that picture but it sure is cute i do think its pied by the white at bottom of him if you look close it seems to be more than ruffled feathers down their more like a cluster white feathers id say that most probably move around and across belly
  11. thanks jimmy banks you word that so way much better than myself and this is probably the most best way to put it and answer you rock as jimmy said you know best your birds your choice our opinions are simply that our advice is but only going to help if you want to truly take it in im sorry for being so rude and harsh (i read what i said and althoough true jimmy placed it perfectly ) i wait for pics and conditions of set up we can help but need to see
  12. you can just use eye drops also one drop in eye thats it so easy i use broline eye ointment for treatment of conjunctivitis
  13. your actually ment to remove all birds not paired and laying to prevent any disturbance how do you know your other hens not just dreaming of the day....she takes over the other hens box and kills chicks and possibly her from being jealous not to break your hopes or anything also if your hens old and your cocks young this may also be an issue if hen is thin then you need to listen to dave and take eggs away and boxes she will kill herself or extra chicks to keep the amount she can feed alive or she will feed them and kill herslf doing so you will not see her wasting you need to study and read and plan then breed sorry but its the truth also you havent listened to anything anyones said and still no pics im starting to think you really dont care about anything but getting chicks in which you wont be doing this time round by sounds even the repairing of box would have been to late thats if you even did as if your to scarred to desturbe hen to craddle eggs something you should of dont so hen not wasting time fading away for nothing then you cant tell me you fixed box yes im the mean one i am going to say this remove boxes eggs and rest hen for 6 months at least fatten up with a range of seeds and veg and then as your doing this find out all you need to know then try again when you do this then i will say good luck but intill then i think your being selfish to your wants over birds health

good luck hun fingers crossed you could do that up great
  16. you get clear-flighted pied in Australiabut i dont think its one is it possible the cock was split clear body ??? Genes can remain hidden for a long time. I popped out a Dilute here from a Normal Sky cock and a Cinnamon Grey Green hen. On the hens side the Dilute was injected 10 years ago. Don't know about the cock bird.A Clearwing breeder here popped out Fallow Clearwings. Tracked it back to Fallows being introduced 26 years previously. Time is irrelvent really. As for gauging the value of a chick using the show standard, word of advice....don't. It is a baby and as such is in nest feather which is, and will never be anything like the adult feather after the bird moults, as as such will not measure up to the standard. Even if the bird is not showable by your defination it may still be classed as a breeder. Kaz, the last time I protested it was a clearbody was on my fourth post in the last thread. I am not saying I don't belive any of you, but the only post I said that I don't belive was at the start. Much discussion has been said since then. You asked for pictures, and I gave them to you. I asked a couple questions about why I am confused that the bird appears clearbody, but no one has yet to answer me? And I know that birds look different in baby feather. You can't tell me once again as your point that it looks different in baby feathers, when I already know it looks different, and on one has answered my question about it. okay so what i dont understand is if its a clearbody it has to be female and has to be from a split cock unless you put a foster egg in and forgot also whom ever it was in your club who said it was a dom pied well maybe you need to listen less to them as they must not know much about mutations also the breeder whom doesnt go near clearbodys does he own any as i bet you he does many wont admit whats in their birds due to others trying to work out how to breed a verierty well maybe thats his secret putting clear-body through also you havent asked a question bar what is this chick and who said we dont get clearflights here as id not listen to them either
  17. Thank you Splat. There's a few fertile ones there due to hatch at the end of the week. I am really hoping they do hatch because I'm having DIS and hard shell issues at the moment. i had hard shell issues when i began aparently you spray the hen lightly if shes out nest or just mist eggs with your breath when you look in i prefer second option just huff on them if you know what i mean just once the moisture will help
  18. well mate them their chicks all look good to me yep yep yep sure does ....lol good going
  19. GenericBlue replied to Maddy's topic in Aviaries
it definitely is not cheep starts out cheep the shed bit is cheep but the rest that follows the bits that you dont think of like if you dont have concreat area the mess for under it to keep mice out and the paving or sand what ever you decide to use even the shed flooring is quiet expencive it does need to have roof lined as condensation will drip onto birds and give them pneumonia and in turn they will get fungal on throat in air-sacs (airsacatitus) so thats more expense in the istulation and fake roofing then you have your safty door and the seperation between bird room and flight also you want to be useing mouse wire for all outside wireing or the mouse proffing of the floor was for nothing silly me learn t that and the mouse wire to date is 45 dollors for 10 meters i just finished so all in all i say you would be better off getting one ready made and just putting a fake roof in and doing double wire with mouse mesh oh dont forget the ventilation and the sealing of gaps so much more im sure ive missed my advice unless you breed show birds stick to a ready made
  20. you get clear-flighted pied in Australia but i dont think its one is it possible the cock was split clear body ???
