mesh is fine over it just make sure its tight so birds dont get stuck under it nothing wrong with breeding in their and i dont think separated flight for breeding is needed with so few birds but if you expand yes it will as for quarantine cage birds need to be 5 meters away from other birds more if able or its not quarantine

would not matter what you replied you will never ever be able to give proof of pink budgies and as for breeding them when young for womans day im sure they would have had pics in fact a whole page or more on it :} but ive never seen or heard of this issue ( mind you ive never read it ) but still im sure it would of been in the budgie councils archives somewhere

no just a door like a hinged door you can close but with mesh like so if you were to open it like a small pantry sorry i cant explain kaz she wants it open so birds have all the room personally if i could take back my flight i would id breed my birds else where jut i need to be able to have my flight locked and cameras viewing my birds but soon as i got more money and help im going to be using the breeding side of my aviary as a young bird flight (baby cage ) and having a separate breeding room its the only way to keep it dust free and healthy for young chicks as the feathers and dust from flight part i vac twice day and still dust n feathers everywhere shes not breeding show though and i never had issues with my pets i used the shed she was inspired off for 2 years no issues

deture them now dont wait for toes to be taken off mesh the cabinets now not later you wont see the aggression just a dead bird that bleed out over night or morning :{

She hasnt got mites. She just thinks she may get them due to birds laying again in hot weather well they may but they may not birds should be treated up to date every however often the product you use says with me its every three months

Well Squeak you are still ranting on about the existance of a PINK BUDGIE and you have visited Kelwyn and still no photos ?? Why ?? Because they dont exist What better way for a breeder to test YOUR knowledge squeak by putting out there a conversation about a pink budgie. well alot of my birds are from his lines so maybe i can get a pink budgie one day kaz :} ill be sure to let you know if i do if its rec gene im sure to come across one in my small flock in a year or two from his stock birds :}

clancy i think you stated from the start that another breeder suggested you take boxes out this was not because of the mites im sure but if it was he was most probably saying it as might suck the birds blood and the chicks to causing malnutrition in both and most normally death of young and sometimes mum n dad bird as their trying so hard to feed young while mite are sucking them dry sure you feel bad tossing out the eggs but mate if your birds have mite you need to as you will end up with infested nest box by time chicks hatched then devastation of what i mentioned above yes you could treat birds for mite but this will not treat the boxes and to treat the boxes you need to remove eggs to do this effectively thus could in turn kill the eggs anyway from moving them i too would toss eggs away and treat birds clean boxes spray flight and all the mite treatment needs to dry on bird so ideally spraying a hen in a nest box ( a hen sitting on eggs ) could kill her by giving her a chill if she does not dry off before she goes back to sit also shes more likely to injest it as she will move her eggs around as needed and may get it in her mouth id toss eggs out if you dont want to fine spray the birds and boxes but dont be sad if you end up with dead hens and unhatched eggs anyway :{

i think you have done a good job with it all i would have layed mouse wire under the pavers before laying but thats as im really funny about not giving mice any chance to get in i got 3 mil stain steel messing under mine pop riveted to the bottom of the shed lol thats craziness though but nothings getting in that :} as far as the breeding in the flight goes i found no issues with it but my birds had messing over the cages as birds the hens specially can get nasty if another bird comes down to the front of the wirer they wont hesitate to come out the box full pelt and bit toes off :{ why i used mesh shade cloth to cover them make one big door for that cabinet and hinge it one you could use mouse mesh to cover the door ,so the birds still get plenty of sun and so the mouses cant get into cabinet even if they do some how get into flight make it so the gap between the sealed door and the wire fount of breeding cages has four centimeters apart this way if birds cling to the wire door you hinged on they are not going to be a threat or bother the breeding birds this way its no different from having wire cabinets side by side in a breeding room birds like to be around other birds to breed you get better results in my eyes the noise from other birds helps the breeders feel like their in a flock situation seeing them also has same effect :} one thing keep area near cabinets clean vac aviary once a week to keep dust n feathers down its no good for chicks health

yep as kaz said moving hen into flight is not good neds 2 weeks or more to adjust cock should stay with chicks either in breeding cabinet with nest tken away or clossed or in babycage till he stops feeding totally also shes been away for so long ( BREEDING ) and you have birds whom were never with her this two could have been problem with her low immunity due to being tyed

sorry my face book page i was given a e book on line breeding thanks splat i think ive had some really good chicks but i still think that the passed months i didnt cull my chicks hard enough as when i look in my flight im still seeing birds id cull if i wasnt letting them stay for 18 months see how they grow personally i am tempted to go back to just culling anything that i feel isnt going to make the grade but im seeing if its worth keeping birds so far only the ones i thought were good and would be good when grown a bit have been the others are still in my eyes just not their but i will wait and see a bit longer before culling them out im positive i know what i want so dont see point in holding stock incase it turns out good i see it as the good ones only get better but i know smaller birds are sometimes the better ones so i dont just keep big birds i keep birds i feel are carrying or have the desired look or trates i m after will be interesting to see how things go

you give all birds it and block iodine the red color ones how many babys do you have ozman {sorry if i spelt your name wrong i can not scroll to see if its correct :{ ) maybe it would be wizer for you to get water solubal one if you have many chicks / birds if you give me a estimate of your birds older and young i can suggest the best way to main tain your flocks health
