He is an 08 bird. Same as the rest of my flock, except Cloud who is 07. Oh, and (Hen 1) has gone to my mum. I spent all day today cleaning and fixing her aviary. Dad is getting cement for the bottom in the morning.

My replacement bird. He's pretty damn gorgeous, but I still want a green.. colour/mutations? I'll get more photos of him tomorrow. it's to dark now.

lol JB i think the All Black's are copying the wildlife.. but i'm sure i'm wrong about that.. Last year my sister's friend went over to NZ and came home with the cutest accent.. We've been hangin out quite a bit lately. lol I love hearing him speak!

My aunty used to call her show types English Budgies.. I didn't know they weren't in-fact english at the time so i didn't argue with her. But our birds were the only things we talked about last time i saw her.. and of course it came up I've got her calling them show types now. Very persuasive I am She has a gorgeous dom. pied male that i'm gonna steal and a YF Coblat hen, that wold look so perfect among my birds..

I used to have a run (like an aviary for a dog ) for my German Shephard, because she would jump the fence and go to the local swimming pool (bit obsessed with water) whenever we went out. An old couple lived next door to us for 6 years and we didn't have any problems, but when they left and the new people moved in, within a week we had compliant's. First they came to us and said that we shouldn't keep her locked up, even though there was plenty of room in there for her. we explained what she did and they left us alone for a while, but then one night there was a storm and she was barking and carrying on and the next day the cops came. I got the R*P*A to come over and look at the run and the second the guy saw it he started laughing. and told me i could have had 5 great danes in there and it would still be fine. He even rang the police for me and told them. So you should definately give them a call.

You know how males (humans) are.. well.. male..? (no offense meant guys, i'm just saying..) My partner, more then halfway to the pet shop decided that we should go and enrol in tafe. (we are both going to be doing VCE cos neither of us finished first time around) And by the time we finished that the pet sop was closed. Of course I was aruging with him about it the whole way over, but because i don't have my licence there wasn't a whole lot i could do about it. He's the driver, he decided what order we do things in We get to the petshop and there aren't trading hours or anything on the door, it's just some one of those "some person bought a shop and just happens to be selling birds n' things" (< name of shop) places. So i ring my mum, who as my mum, has to know just a little bit of everything :budgiedance: She says that it opens at 8am. so guess what time i am going there in the morning 7:30am. She said (in her rambling, the girl that works there) that she usually gets there an hour or two before it opens. So she should be there. My partner took a photo of him. Too show her. and I've buried him in the backyard, next to the lavender plant. my poor boy

That's what i'm doing renee. when my partner puts his shoes on.. I kept them out of the heat esterday splat. they were in my spare room with the a/c and didn't go back outside till it was heaps cooler.

Okay. Sad News! My beautiful boy has died! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: When I went out to check on my birds, like i do every morning, he was dead on the bottom of his quarantine cage. I dunno what happened. He look perfect last night. And the girls I bought are all fine. Could he have had a heart condition or something?.. He was an 07 bird so, old? but Cloud is an 07 bird... but he's got his health problems too... (namely the thing on his wing, which hasn't changed and the vet rang. I taking him in tomorrow.) can someone make me a list or something of things that could of caused his death and what to watch out for? so i'm just a little bit prepared next time.

Thanks Shannon. I'm gonna get lots more photo's of the girls. not really sure i like (hen 2) anymore... I really should have thought about it more.. but the lady in the pet shop wouldn't stop talking to me. lol I think she was glad of the company, I was in there for atleast 2 and a half hours picking the other three She's cute, I just don't like the colour of her..

(I really don't have anything better to do with my time.. ) and i no longer have any control over what my fiance does and doesn't do with him. he's put him back in the little cage until next week, when he said he will buy him a bigger, better, less ugly one... upside down I really think i should use something better then photobucket.. It's been doing stupid stuff heaps the last few days... he's upside down in that one too.. hmm.. thought there was more then that... oh well. there will be!! lol

about 5 mins. ago it's really hot at the moment and i felt yuck When was the last time you had all your birds flying around inside your house? (8 birds for me I did it about half an hour ago. they loved it! lol)

YAY! I got more budgie's today! and wire for my aviary.. And of cousre i have no idea about their colours/mutations, so help? My new girls (Hen 1) (Hens 2 & 3) (Hen 3) (Hen 3) (Hen 2) what a cutey!! And, My beautiful boy lol can ya tell i like him? I think he is abslutely gorgeous!

aww, sorry for your lose birdlove Cuddles was beautiful! Sweetpea is a cutey, I love her name to! My sister used to call me that, cos I used to make mum plant sweet pea's in the garden all the time. Anywho.. My fiance's cat, Puss. she thought she was hiding.. I've got the birds inside today, cos it is stupidly hot. hoseing them doen did nothing, they were dry again in 5 mins. anyway.. the cat. kept trying to eat my birds, so she's been locked in mum-in-laws room I can't get any better photos of her, she hates me. :happy-dancing:

I used to have four of those really little weird looking ones.. They were so funny. They followed me around the yard all the time and came when i called their names.. very clever little girls.

lol JB we haven't even got them yet. We won't get them for another couple of weeks yet. I'm making my aviary this weekend (hopefully) and then I'll get around to making something for the chooks next week sometime.. and then hopefully the lady I bought my ducks from last year will have a couple for me. We only want 1 or 2. my fiance has never had chickens before...

yea just the normal wire mesh, I'm thinking I'll just cut the doors out of the back and the bits that i cut of i'll put a hinge and lock thing on it and then reattach it...

The mirror is just a temporary thing so he doesn't get lonely while in quarantine. He's got some social issue, and honestly i am scared of him.. The one day i said my brother could choose my bird and i went home with him^. I love him, but he's a bit crazy..

okay, so they aren't the best thing to work off.. but this is my idea, lol the use's of paint... The whole front and one side will be covered in wire. okay,.. now i'm thinking have it the other way around.. say have where i have the doors on that thing ^ as the bottom and still have the top and back covered. and have the doors in the back. that way there is more flying space and i can reach more of the cage if the doors are at the back.. loosely based of one of these. with the doors taken off. I am so not good at explaining things lol Anyone got any tips to make this better?
