New Aviary Finally Started.
Hi Deb, It must be so exciting to get it finished, I've got a new breeding room/aviary in the process of being made and I'm going to post it real soon maybe even today, but it seems to be taking so long for each little progress to be made, so I didn't want everyone to loose interest waiting for the progress pictures as it is reallyyy slooooowwww, but WOW look at yours all finished. Enjoy your new avairy and breeding room.

Art Or Is It?
Hi guys, This one is really tricky, but I feel children who are around the age of going through puberty shouldn't be the subject of art, as these children have enough going on both physically and emotionally that in my veiw they haven't got the maturity to really understand the long term ramifications that modelling for such artwork may incurr. And as an adult and a parent I feel we should do everything in our power to make sure children's passage into adult life be as smooth as possible. This passage is difficult enough without exposing our children (butt naked) at this consfusing time in their lives. I can admire beautiful nudes as much as the next person but lets make them 18.

Best Dad In The Whole World
Wow, Gee AV could I have a lend of Blue to give my husband a few pointers, what a terrific dad, he surely deserves a big Fathers Day treat!

Quails
Hi AV, I would do the same, pick out the ones which are being bullied. I think they both look gorgous, but being male, does that mean that they're going to meow like lost kittens during April-May and August-September breeding seasons like Dr Nat said earlier? Or do they only do this, if hens are present? (Dr Nat?) And hey I say the more the merrier when it comes to the wonderful animal world, when you are a dedicated animal lover. Enjoy your newest members of your clan.

Waiting On The Babies
Hi AV, Wow! I now how exciting it is to get the first hatched, I now have 3 babies all about 2-3 weeks old, but am eagerly awaiting for another clutch to start hatching, I also thought that they would have started by now by nothing as yet although I haven't as yet checked on them today so who knows. Anyway hopefully I will see you tonight at the meeting and we can catch up. P.S.-(Couldn't help myself just shot out to the garage and no still nothing)

Disaster Has Struck!
I now how upsetting this is Loreli, as it happened to me (quite a few years ago now!) just as my budgie was beginning to talk. I put flyers in the two courts either side of my court and just over a week later success, I got a phone call just as I was thinking all hope was gone. I do hope you get your baby back. Keep us posted.

An Assortment Of Photos
Hi Kaz your birds do just love the hibiscus, pitty about MOJO not re-growing his flight feathers other than that he looked to me to be of a good show type although I only just learning so I may be completely wrong. I know my description says "show breeder" but I am actually only just starting with breeding with showing in the back of my mind. I think because when I first joined the forum I had just joined my Budgie Club and am intending to show my birds once I produce birds worth showing. Still have so much to learn. It's a pity you could only have a yes or no answer unwise mine would have be Show breeder "in progress".

Breeding Budgies
Hi guys, (hope you don't mind being called guys) Firstly Maesie I will be keeping these bubs as I only have just under 30 budgies with a new avairy being build as I type I will have quite a bit of room for some more. I need to populate just a little. Next, Neat I keep both hen and cocks together, there are so many mixed opinions on what is the best to do. I know some say that keeping them together they tend to couple up and not every often with the birds you are going to pair them up with so it takes longer for the pairing to breed, then there's those who say that when they are seperated that they loose interest in each other. So who knows what is best. I've never really had any trouble with breeding when hen and cocks are in the same avairy.

Breeding Budgies
Thanks everyone for your replies, I'm still thrilled when people actually take the time to send replies to my posts. Hey neat if you read this I don't think the blue is yellow face it may just be the photo colouring?? Or maybe I will be shocked as her head and face feather become more prominate. I will post some more photos as soon as it is a bit more clear. Am excited as I was able to pair up 3 more pair and have two whose eggs are due to hatch in the next couple of days and the last pair who I only paired up about 2 weeks ago laid their first egg today. Exciting times ahead! Carolyn alias: Budgielover13

Pairing In The Breeding Cabinet
It's always sad when a chick dies but trying to look on the bright side, 8 is a little easier than 9 for Trooper, and it the long run the remaining chicks may benefit. Please don't think I'm sick but its a little like organ donation its not quite so bad (still bad) when others may benefit. It's that in bad taste? Hope I haven't offended anyone! Budgielover13

Breeding Budgies
Finally after many attempts to get the right size here we are. Ended up saving the photo to photobucket completely again using the right size as every time I tried to adjust the original photo size it didn't want to work. So here are my babies when they were much smaller. These photo's seems to be going in the wrong direction. Next photo that I post will be when they're a little older and back to going in the right direction.

I've Made My Mind Up
I think I need to add even with all odd points I'm still glad I had it done!!My tatoo is definately one of a kind.

I've Made My Mind Up
Hi all!! Yes I highly recommend that you have your image drawn up first. When I was young and impulsive I had a tattoo of a lady bug on the outerside of my breast with little footprints coming from the other side of my breast and under my nipple looked really good I thought. But as I really thought about it I realized many things: 1 Lady bug must be crossed with a cockroach as it was to narrow more like a cockroach than a nice plump cute lady bug: 2 My lady bug must also be crossed with of all things a spider as it has 8 legs not 6!! And lastly the footprints are done in clusters of 4 litle marks each sides for 4 little legs each side of the Lady bug/spider then a gap and then another set with a gap and so on, which means maybe the Lady bug/cockroach/spider was also maybe crossed with a frog because it actually jumped its way across my **** not crawled. Oh my Golly where does that Leave my poor little Lady bug??? It's a Lady bug/Cockroach/spider/frog!!!!! :fear But I can see the funny side of it!
