Yeah but they are all around $50 bids. When I first saw the cages I was expecting to pay well over that so Its still looking good for me.

  13. Well Cin x cin = All cinnamons Normal cock/cinnamon x cinnamon hen = Cinnamon Cocks, Normal/cinnamon Cocks, cinnamon Hens, Normal Hens Hens cant be split sex linked genes so... Cin x Cin gives more cinnamons but if you want normals aswell you would best go with pairing 2.
  14. I like the article Daz how do you find all these articles.
  15. I had the same problem. I hung cd's, tennis balls covered in aliminium foil, and lots of other shiny things above the aviary. It stops the majority of the birds.
  16. Excellent quality birds their Ino I bet you cant wait to see the results.
  17. I am forgetfull sailorwolf. I read things and the next day I forget. The only way I can fully understand somthing is by reading it heaps of times. So doxycycline shouldn't be given to birds without symptoms because it is a cure? not a preventative? It's an antibiotic right? I quarantine my birds without treating them for canker/megabacteria and other diseases. But now seeing whole studs being wiped out by a disease that can be prevented I'm not so sure I did the right thing. Remember your talking to people who arent vet's.
  18. I'm getting better at sexing at a young age. Heaps of practise.
  19. Those small ones the birds play with them like toys. The big ones are excellent swings for the birds. Yeah Shannon Im trying to breed her. She shows interest in the males but she doesnt lay eggs. She is in the nest box a fair bit aswell but thats just because shes hiding from me. This will be my last attempt at breeding her. Such a shame.
  20. Thanks very much Renee. For all that information.
  21. Thankyou Elly and Dezdemona
  22. Thanks very much for that Renee. What is spark? Can megabac-s also be used for megabacteria? Whats the difference between funglin and megabac-s What does doxycycline do?
  23. Yes, Pearce, we've discussed this previously and you know what I think. The biggest danger of the wait and see approach is that some birds are carriers and do not exhibit any signs of illness. It's only when you introduce them into your healthy flock that the problem becomes painfully apparent - and by that time you're facing an uphill battle to save your birds from imminent death. You've probably posted this somewhere Renee but do you have a specific procedure you follow when you quarantine your birds? Like which meds to give and when to give them etc. thankyou.
