Did you put it near your other bird? If so remove it immediatley it may have a disease. The droppings sound normal. Maybe try a vet. Quarantine is a big issue you need to do. I have no faith in Avian Science what so ever, others might but I do not. none of their products work in my opinion. Keep up the warmth and if he does not eat hand feed him. good luck,

Itdepends jimmy if its just a stress moult they usually do grow back. The bird has been named stumpy.

If you had a bird like this - What would you do? She has been wormed, sprayed for mites and given ivermectin. She did have flights and a tail but she just dropped them one day.

yeah well I cannot crop feed so I guess I will have to just hope that they all drink it.Daz do you crop feed it to your birds or just put it in their water.

Stock feed stores sell seed. If my supplier does not have any seed available, I go to a stock feed/farm store. I check through all the bags of seed to see what kind of seed is in their. The birds will not eat some of the seeds, so the bag with the less "filler" seeds is best.

Daz when you worm your birds how do you ensure each bird consumes the water? How much water do they need to consume for the gel to have effect? a few drops?

I can see cinnamon. Daz it may be your moniter.

Mine are 3 months old and I'm worming them now, I hope its not too young. I need to learn to crop feed so I can apply the gel straight to the bird, that way I can ensure the bird gets the dose. How do you ensure each bird gets a dose? I dont think Birds drink everyday so some birds might not even consume any.

I dont think it will cause the bird to lose feathers kaz I just do not see the point of applying it to the feathers in the first place??? Why??

Aslong as its applied to the cere and feet, and no where else. The bird will not lose feathers. Do your birds have scaly face?

It helps with scaly face. Olive oil blocks the burrows of the mites and suffocates them. Their are no feathers on the cere or feet so I do not see how the bird would lose feathers

The last show I went to we werent allowed to view the birds until the judging had finished. But at the brisbane show a few weeks back the birds were their to view while the judging was happening.
