  1. I am very sorry, but I am still unsure as to weither I should in fact give them the branches. Haa ha I am just so worried about it being a dangerous desease so I havent given any of the leaves but the branches are still where I left them after disinfecting. Sorry to bother you all again.
  2. That one looks to be male to me. The black that was covering their ceres and beaks were confusing me, I was thinking some were being made to look darker by the by the black covering their ceres. But this photo is very clear and this one looks to be a defonate male.
  3. I am very sorry for your loss. I hope everything is going well with the cock and the remaining chicks.
  4. Thanks for that I was worried and yes I think they could have at least a few leaves each which is fine at least they have had some right? Again thanks for the reply. Would the branches be safe to give to them as perches or are they too infected? I have used apple braches previously but Eucalyptus was all I could get my hands on so, its a shame really.
  5. I few days ago I collected a eucalpytus branch from a friends tree and while I was a little to consumed with talking to the woman about her pregnant dog, I didnt notice these brown spots on the leaves. I mean I am not angry or anything I didnt have to pay for it and she wanted the tree trimed in a little, I am just unsure on weither it is a disease or something and it's better to be safe right? And if it is a disease is it safe to give them the branches, I have already dis-infected them but I am really consurned as to weither it is safe because I have no knowledge in plants.
  6. Moulting can be awful my boy Bailey gets so grumpy. Like grumpy to the point just walking past his cage he feels the need to bite and lunge at you(Well the bars) But he'll be fine after the moult.
  7. The pictures are far to bright, sorry. Could you possibly take a photo with out the flash. Cheers Jodie. He beautiful no matter what.
  8. The first I believe to be a male. He is a sky violet opaline spangle dom pied. The second is a most certainly a female and she is a violet normal dom pied. Both are beautiful by the way.

Welcome! We all look forward to hearing about you and your budgie's progress.
  10. Chip is a cutie!
  11. Oh, I was not aware. I am very sorry should I delete this or is it okay?
  12. Oh I am so sorry to hear that but at least you had the honor of doing so previously. I hope all is well other wise for you. What breeds are in your doggies? And you sir are a cool man in my eyes for doing such things I'd love to train animals I do thing with my dog but nothing exstreme because she's too old for some things also she's a border collie and they are pretty smart so I think anybody could train one. Jodie.
  13. Thanks B.J I love them all very much. Do you have no other exstended pet family other than budgies?
  14. Is there any possible chance you can get clear pictures without the flash as sometimes the flash washes or distorts cere colour. But I am certian that C is a male and B is female. D looks like a female in the picture but a picture without flash would be a great help. Cheers again. Jodie.
  15. Just curious if all of you amazing members out there have any other pets/fur family members other than budgies of course that you would'nt mind sharing a picture or two of. I have two wonderful other pets I own: A 4 year old female guinea pig her name is Zee. And a 10 year old female Border collie called Star. I do have two goldfish still currently living with some old housemates from my move I hoping to be reunited with my fish soon. They are called Luffy and Narry. Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful pets.
  16. Oh thats sweet of you, and yeah it's best not to wake them. Other members would more likely be a bit more sucessful than me. I am a little rusty as I have been out of breeding now for about 2 years. But good luck with them all, they are very sweet.
  17. I think and I could be very wrong that A,B,D,E are females and C is a male.
  18. I thought that the first hen was only an Opaline grey spangle. But then I am not so good with Spangles. I agree with the second hen being a Light green Cinnamon Opaline.

Welcome! The people on here are always giving great advise and are very helpful. I hope you enjoy yourself. Jodie.
  20. Haa haa its always the way cute face but absolutely Cookoo! He looks very much to be a male to me in the pictures and if he's talking already then he is more likely to be a male. Congrats. No worries. Jodie.
  21. The picture is a little bit dark, and I am by far no exspert but I believe that Jasper looks to me a yellow faced mauve from that picture and little George is a Opaline spangle Voilet/Cobalt but I am a little unsure on his shade sorry. Also I am deeply sorry for the loss of your good budgie friend Buddie boy.
  22. So sweet glad they are getting on, Kikki looks like a male to me. But clearer picture's would help clarify (sorry for my spelling) By the way Kikki is such a cute name, and Frisky looks beautiful!!
  23. Hello again, I am not sure if you'll all even remember me. I am sure about one thing alot has happened while I have been absent. I just wanted to tell show you all how my budgerigars are doing~they are great, I retired Lumina from breeding a year ago and have been looking for new stock for a while but am having trouble finding the finances so all is on hold for now. But boy do I miss it. If ya'll do remember me you should remember Kiwi who was 3 months old when she laid an egg, Crazy!! Well all good news now after a large struggle and a vet giving me the options to remove her ovaries or putting her down. I tried so many things and they failed and as it would be I began to give up and vola! She stopped, no honestly I eventually desided ince she laid the eggs with or without another bird in with her I put Toshi (her sister in with her) They have been together for a year again now with a few quarells here and there as they do. So thats the girls. Georgie the father of all the babies my birds produced is doing great to he is currently on his own as he just doesnt seem to get along with anyone at the moment. Silly buggar. lol. Bailey is as flirty as always and in love with Oushi who is his nephew though he is not to know. Oushi bless him doesnt seem to understand the difference between flirting and fighting. I say he is the Tarzan of the budgie world he is of one species but doesnt understand them, haa ha. And Ollie. He is no longer innocent :'( Where did that cute innocent little baby go he spends most of the days flirting with my dog and humping his toys, If you dare touch them you'll feel his wrath, he has earned the nickname evil-with a cute face. He also growls if you touch anything in the entire hallway where his cage is. But he does have a sweet side he isn't really that tame he takes a bath when I am holding it for him and cleans my hands too, he also allows me to give him cheek scratches to. So he is not all bad, lol. I love him even when he bites me. Here are some pics. (Sorry if they are to large I am really struggling with the new photobucket, I am a bit of a techno-phobe) Bailey Toshi Kiwi Lumina George Oushi Ollie
  24. I would say the same as Neville but would perhaps need a clearer picture of the two in the same picture. Also I see some kind of feather loss on the right in the picture. I am not sure but thats what I see, is it possible to get some clearer pics? Thank Jodie.
  25. What Kaz says is 100% right. I got a female budgie who was 8months old with a fully crusted deep brown cere like that. Please please do not breed from her untill we can at least conferm an age, It is EXSTREAMLY dangorous. Sorry if this offends you but I would not want to you to regret it in the long shot. Thank you very much. Jodie.
