My poor little guy I love him so much and it really pains me to see him struggle, he doesnt seem to be in pain just struggleing. I am think of taking him out his cage away from his mother and put him by himself with not perches as he is always trying to climb on them.... What do you think because I really want to give him a chance.?? Anything I can do to help him get better??

he's about 6 weeks and learning still he can do it, but slowly. so he isn't really getting alot. I have managed to get a bit of regular seed into him, when I gave him eggfood with the seed in it he picked out the seeds. He also pooped while I was feeding him, It looked awsome ~ very healthy

This has really taught me something...well I am learning...but I have some bad news as well. This little chick is not doing to great at the moment. I am absolutley devestated. Also is Slate light green like Grey green??At all??

He's not eating by himself though(He's still too young) I do not know how to hand feed either. I don't want to loose him!!

I am so distrught at the moment. I have no idea what has happened, My last born chick is not useing one of its feet he wont perch on it and it not just his foot. His wing on the same side he always seems to be stretching it!! I am so worried and I dont think there is anything that can be done!! He is hesitating to put any weight on it, he is however managing to climb up to food but I have put some on the ground so he can eat easier. He leans when he is perching, standing and does not seem very comfortable. But bless him he always runs along the floor when he sees me (running with a hop that is ) I love him to peices!!

In my opinion I would say the first three are cocks and the last two are Hens. Could you post pics with better lighting if at all possible?? It is still a little difficult. Thanks Jodie

Hmm maybe thats why I get weird looks from them when I eat them,LOL btu hey I all for sharing I already HAVE to give some too my guinea pig when I eat one why not them too. My Hen and Cock are my pets and have always been in a cage together there is no chance at all she has bred with another cock he is the only one who been in her cage with her. As I have no aviary as of yet I am however going to build one in the coming months. I am also beating myself up because I have no clue to what colour the chick is and its making me really angry...so sorry if am too impulsive about wanting to know The two rec pied I have are siblings though not of the same clutch one is a baby from this one the other is an almost 2 year old. And they are both HENS so that is impossible. And they are both children to Lumina so I would never let them intensionally breed.

No they are not bred in a colony situation I chose them both and put them into a breeding cage. So they are the only parents of the chick. But she/he is defonatly not in my oppinoin a light green, but other wise I have no clue what it is. I know the dads parentage. His father was a normal green split pied and blue. And the mother was a cinnamon opaline yf2 skyblue. And my hen the mother of these chicks I only know that she is split rec pied because of breeding, so in my opinion she could be masked something...I dont know.

Updated picture's Is she defonatley dark green?? The little thing just left the nest box yesterday. Wont stay in either when I put her back, XD

Things like this make me so angry, sometimes...well acually when ever I hear about them. Even before I knew about these problems people have had with budgies breaking legs and getting stucking inside the huts and whatnot. Me and my mom were in a huge pet shop and in amongst all the budgie toys there was this snuggle hut, I took one look at it and saw a millon hazzards for the budgies. But I happen to check myself with every toy I see or may buy for them what hazzards could happen. Because frankly I dont want to be a person stuck in a bad place because my beloved budgies have been injured in a preventable accident, caused by me. These things are absolutly useless.

Aww, they are all too cute!!! My oldest babies is like that he acually thinks my head is his and fights every budgie who even attempts to sit on it. And it hurts having them fight on your head and you cant see what they are doing either.

Thanks tbh when I took the picture I didnt know I was stood by my poster. Then when I noticed I thought I am going to keep it! And the baby matches the poster. Cause Heath's shirt is green like the budgie and the babies Cere is the same colour as the jacket.
