Kimy's Overweight
Also don't feed her the guinea pig muesli, it's very fatty, pellets only. There are also a few 'yahoo groups' which cater to guinea pigs

Surprise Pregnancy
Yes they do Kaz, but by mating with another male it can flush out the sperm of the first male. This is a common trick employed by wren hens who may sneak of for a bit of fun with the local boys but who always come home to their man and all the chicks are his

Well I told them to give it a couple of weeks and then call me if it wasn't working out and I haven't heard from them so hopefully means it's all fine.- What Mb Did This Weekend-

Mine are all in outside aviaries so probably not much use to you from a set up perpective.- What Mb Did This Weekend-

She looks like she's having a ball!- Fish Photos
Is he Richard the lionheart - Fish Photos
okay I worked it out... he is a lionhead. There are similiar ones called Ranchu's which have a much more bent spine.- Ducks Flying Fruit
There are a couple of nice big branches sitting in my street at the moment- Surprise Pregnancy
There is no reason why he can't take on the role of father, does one of the males consistently feed her? I would be putting her with that male. The majority of the time they do seem to 'know' what to do but things can still go wrong. Make sure mum and dad have a great diet including fresh vegetables, good quality seed and a calcium supplement in their water. I would make a decision about which male will play the role of dad and then move the other male away as he may just distract them while they are raising eggs/chicks. The cage needs to be large enough for potentially 8 birds to live in for a short time after the chicks fledge so put them in the largest cage you have. Make sure the nest box is attached securely and is stable and level. Also I don't know if you realise this but budgies will just do the nasty for fun, so a couple of eggs layed off the perch is not an issue if you decide not to go through with it. GOOD LUCK- Ducks Flying Fruit
Ummm...just watch out for your walls. 4 days of free range time and we came back one day to find our galahs had chewed a 1 ft square hole in our wall!!! Best play gym for a big bird is to get a large bucket and a big branch. Put the thick end of the branch in the bucket and fill with quick set concrete- Fish Photos
I can't help feeling like there is another name for them sitting in the back of my head trying to get out. I'll let you know if it comes to me- A Possum Update
It's fairly debatable whether it will be the best for him personally since the success rate for release runs somewhere around the 20% mark for animals given support after release and close to zero for those not given any support but I can only do what I can and hope for the best.- A Possum Update
Well theoretically he will be released back where he was found, it will be tough for all concerned though as when I open the door to his cage he barrels out at high speed and jumps in my lap for a cuddle! He is currently about 700 grams and he needs to be close to 1.2kg before he is ready for release.- Fish Photos
Here is my fighter AV:- What Mb Did This Weekend-
The girls got a bath yesterday (while the paint on the kennel was drying ) so she's looking prerrrrtty at the moment Just noticed there is a very relaxed looking bunny having a bath under the chair in the background- Surprise Pregnancy
You need to decide who you want her to be in with as she needs a 'solid man' in her life in order to raise chicks Breeding is stressful so they need to be ateast 12 months old. Chances are if she has been mating with both of them then she may lay eggs from both the males.- Missing Claw & Inflamed Nostril
A photo would be very helpful if possible. Is he in with other budgies that may have bitten his toe? If he recieved an injury to that toe a few weeks ago it may be that his nail just now finally became loose and fell off, it possibly won't grow back.- What Mb Did This Weekend-
Libby, she wouldn't stay still so it's an awful photo but this is her today, gives you an idea of her size already!- Fish Photos
He is a lionhead I'll take a piccy of my fighter for you- Ducks Flying Fruit
nope- A Possum Update
Some of you may remember this little man Pumpkin: Well a couple of months on he is the size of a kitten and well on the way to release weight, here he is now: This is my new little man Rusty, he is a ringtail: I couldn't get him to sit still for a nice photo so here is a little video:- What Mb Did This Weekend-
That pot has been sitting about where the kennel is for two weeks now. She hasn't touched a single pot plant since she arrived, we've been pretty strict with her but she seems to be quite well behaved to start with so I think we are lucky. I'm planning a little timber planter box for that corner so that plant is the crash test dummy - Other Birds
