Question about eyes
A DF spangles eyes will darken to black as they age so it's probably an ino. Yes a DF spangle will get iris rings UNLESS it's a DF spangle masking recessive pied It's only a lutino/albino if it has red eyes

What A Fright
ha ha ha  It's horrid when they do things like that, I had one a couple of clutches ago that at the age of three weeks decided it liked to sleep on it's bck on the bottom of the cage! You can imagine exactly what I thought the first time I saw that!

Crested Baby
I don't think she would be as neither parent is, she's just started opening body feathers now. Parents are light green spangle and Olive normal Parents are thinking about round two, I'm happy to let them go for it even though it's getting close to summer as I have a closed breeding room which I can air condition if necessary.

Something Strange Going On With Hen
Unless you have the same roblem as me and it turns out both your green series are split for blue! Out of my green/green show pair I got two blues and out of my green/blue pied pair I got a blue, the only pair that gave me a green was my crested pair :bump:

Breeding English Budgie With Pet Type
I totally agree also, although I have always let the 'english budgie' term slide as I don't think they're very Aussie anyway, I can just see them fluffing around in some toffy English manor drinking tea :bump:

A Little Help
I'm going to take a guess for fun but I'll wait for a piccy to confirm I would guess: opaline spangle fallow(if her eyes are red) OR opaline spangle Texas Clearbody (if her eyes are black)

Alcatraz.......
They look fantastic!! My only negative comment is that I don't think you have enough boxes in you aviary and they are too close together to prevent arguments so just watch out as you may find you loose some clutches to jealous hens.

Is It Possible To Move Budgie's And Their Babies?
Recently I had to move a bank of my breeding cages from necessity from on spot to another. It took me less than a minute to move them and they are on wheels so all I did was roll them but that was enough that my ino pair left their eggs cold and I lost the whole lot

Is It Possible To Move Budgie's And Their Babies?
I'm just aware that some of my birds are strees heads and some are cool and composed, the stress heads I would never attempt to move unless it was an emergency. I wouldn't change cages though

Is It Possible To Move Budgie's And Their Babies?
It also really depends on the pair too, I have a couple of pairs that I can move around as much as I like and it doesn't bother them, then I have others which I barely dare even tidy up the cage for fear they'll abandon their nest

Lizards Vs Snakes
Personally I think lizards have WAY more personality. I've had both beardies and blueys and I've played with other peoples snakes. Snakes really are just happy to use you as a warm spot to sit but the lizards come barrelling up to the front of the tank to say hello when you arrive, much nicer :reading:

Pigeons...grrrrrr!
I think so too SW, these same pigeons sit on the fence near the aviary all day. Actually 've never seen a single sparrow or indian myna around the house, the only non-natives we get are spotted doves.

What's Happening To Their Beaks? And Plenty Of Other Questions!
It's too late now but if you got him only a week ago from the pet shop they should not be together, as he should have been quarantined. Pet shops are a hotbed for all sorts of nasties as birds go in and out all the time, it was a big risk putting them straight in together. Keep a close eye on both of them incase they get sick

Pigeons...grrrrrr!
Actually I just about wet my pants laughing until the thought of the nasties they could be carrying occured to me

Pigeons...grrrrrr!
It's been windy here today and I raced home in a panic worried my lorikeet/galah's aviary may have blown over as the tiedowns needed replacing, to my relief it was still there. However as I walked down to say hello to the birds I realised it had shifted just slightly and a hole had opened on one corner. I was worried that my birds may have got out but thankfully they were all sitting up on their perches...accompanied by 5 crested pigeons So now I have sorted the aviary and removed the pigeons but I will have to keep my babies under close supervision to make sure they haven't picked up any nasties

Crested Baby
She isn't from a crest X crest she's from a good size crested cock X even bigger non-crested(crestbred) hen. I think in this case alot of the size is due to her tough start in life as her older brother that died was much bigger at the same age when he died, hoping for better size in the next cutch

Dom Pied Or Not?

My Son Is Getting A Pet
You have to wait for their pelvis to develop before you can tell but it is quite easy once they are large enough, you'll be able to look up a diagram online
-
Crested Baby
It's a teensy crest which is why I didn't notice it originally. Her brother had a nice big crest right in line between the eyes on the top of his head where it shoud be but she'll just look like she's had her fringe teased

My Son Is Getting A Pet
Go Shaul I had beardies for ages, they make great pets and when they are babies they are really cute Deb, trust me you'll warm up to the little tacker before you kno it

Opinions Please
I ws very surprised to discover that out of this cock and the crested cock both were split for cinnamon so she was pretty surprise that's for sure
-
Opinions Please
Oh yay These are my first self bred showies so I'm paranoid about how they are developing, plus they are the chickies out of the cock that killed himself behind the feeder so I desperately want them to do him proud Does this help with a better side on shot for you?

Crested Baby
I am very interested to see what colour her body feathers come through, she is a cinnamon opaline(I think) spangle, she should be very pretty when she grows up. Oh my gosh she is tiny though, she comes from good size crested stock but she is smaller than the pet type at the moment, just goes to show what happens when they get a rough start in life. She should throw larger babies though so I'll breed her to a big non crested when she grows up
