  1. When we were little my brother and I used to eat frozen peas straight out of the packet, we survived
  2. Make sure all of them are eating it, the others may be eating it and Coco might not be touching it.
  3. Make sure he looks after those cacti or I'll get the RSPCS (Royal Society for the Protection of Cacti and Succulents) onto him
  4. He has a toy, it's a brown squrrel, if you squint it looks just like a brushtail
  5. Hey AV when you ring back tomorrow can you ask them how to treat Lories ie. can it be added to their wet mix? The lories got a mediacion from the vet when they were crook which they have finsihed now but it wasn't Doxy so it would be good if I know whethert is okay to add Doxy to wet food. AV and I both got a couple of birds from a bloke at the bird sale. Two of the budgies I got from him have already died, AV's ones that showed symptoms first are from the same person. The rest seem well but are being treated. It sounds like I should be treating the other birds too so I will add it to their water tonight.
  6. Sunnie's bird Saffy is a quaker Here is a post about her http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....c=20028&hl=
  7. Anyone else think roxy looks like a baby quaker

The rat zapper is made by an Aussie company : http://www.ratzapper.com.au/ But the ones on Amazon are HEAPS cheaper
  9. Also I always find I can tempt any picky eaters with a few celery leaves.
  10. She is only allowed in the family room under supervision now. I had planned to leave her in there with Sascha when I have to go to work but now she has to stay in the laundry until she can be trusted Luckily I saw her do it so I stopped her before she did any damage, plus it's the 'kid couch' (ie. the one we have when the kids are little and put food on everything and get rid of in a couple of years after they are a bit older) so while I would still be cranky if something happened to it as it's still in good nick it's not a nice leather lounge or anything like that.
  11. Her personality is...TERROR! She even tried to eat my couch!
  12. I figured on not much sleep at the moment with the new puppy as well so it's okay.
  13. Yikes! Just realised looking at those pics how WAY overdue my windows are for a clean. What with kids, dogs and the rabbit they get FILTHY!
  14. Well he was VERY put out that his new mummy told him he had to sleep in the warm box last night, he spent half the night calling for me I had been told at this age he didn't really need to be fed at night if I didn't want to (ie. I could miss a single feed) but he got a small feed in the wee hours in the hopes of settling him down. He did sleep for a little while but then he wanted mummy again
  15. That's a good way to put it Liv. I have been too that I 'hoard' by non animal types BUT I think the main difference is I only keep animals I am capable of providing proper care for. I guess that would make me more of a collector would it under your theory Liv?
  16. He's not keen on staying still, very adventurous. He insisted on coming out of his pouch before so I snapped another photo and a little video of him, you can see how shiny and healthy he is :glare:
  17. Did I mention he's a little smarty. He decided he was on a good thing curled up inside my possum singlet (it has one of those 'hidden support' thingos in it so he can sit in it without falling through) and he's still there, he climbs back in whenevr I try and take him out :glare: I will have to give him the bad news soon that he cant stay there when I go to bed so he'll have to go in his box soon
  18. He is very healthy just lost his mum it seems so all going well he should be fine. Currently he weighs about 190 grams so he's a nice big boy. The one that I sadly lost last week was VERY sick when he arrived and right from the start I didn't think he would make it. I'll admit when he started to perk up I thought maybe I was wrong but sadl my presiction did come true in the end.
  19. This is Pumpkin, named because he has bright orange fur under his chin. He is a baby brushtail, probably around 5 months old. He was found on the footpath this morning so cold the person who found him thought he was dead until he moved his mouth. She showed him to me and I took one look at him, felt how cold he was an immediately stuffed him down the front of my singlet, within an hour he was much perkier and he is drinking his milk like a champ :budgiedance:
  20. I looked out the back door this arvo and saw this! . . . . . . . . . . . . But then this happened :budgiedance: Darn wabbit trying to give me a heart attack!
  21. Hi my name is MB and I have a problem. BUT I only take in budgies I have space for, so I'm just gonna keep building new aviaries, problem solved :budgiedance:
  22. I have developed severe paranoia with making sure birds are quarantined seperately at the moment AV, so I put him away until I am fairy sure he is healthy and then he can finish quarantine in the cage over near the back door.
  23. She is a kelpie and only four so she is still very playful but when the pup gets in her face she just kinda rolls her eyes and walks away I am sure that within a week they will be tearig around together, they did have a game of ball together yesterday arvo until Josie got tired and needed a puppy nap.
  24. My other dog is a bit like "Muuummmm, she's following me, tell her to leave me alone!!!" But I'm sure she will get useed to her. The rabbit raced up to say hello and even played with her so I think they will be fine.
  25. 8 weeks yesterday, she was born on mothers day
